Up until about a month ago, was fantastic. I could get sinkers at 691 anywhere I went. Now? I'm lucky to see them below 2k. Minnows are hit or miss. 75% up there in price, other 25% are near bottom. It's getting very saturated here.

Forgive me for being naive, but what's up with the Sinker Minnow craze as of late?
(if you'd rather PM response to me that's fine as well)
0/56 so far on the cape for my mule, I'll post again when I get it.
Puts me at 1/131 across both of my characters so far.
I am still capped at 100 are there any fish we need to test at some point to see where they cap? Im going after some Matsyas again so might be time but a list that we no wont go to 110?
What kind of furniture would benefit me the most for fishing.
1/22!
Evrart 1/42
Sevvy 1/2 on Shawl.
Puts my LS total at:
4/64 Not to shabby
does skill affect rate of rod breaks? i've been ferry fishing bhefel marlins for charts at 35 with lu shang and pulling up occasional ryugu for a shot at merc sword but inevitably break rod more often that not. would i be better off skilling up first and then going back to ferry or is that just how it works?
Yes it does. Of course you could just release the titans for now and wait till you are higher to pull them up
Were Cave Cherax always able to break Lu Shang's? I fished them for 2 weeks straight or so before the Shawl was put in game. I was only fishing to skill up while I work on Ebisu but I never got a break during that time. I stoped for a few weeks after the Shawl was put in game because the pond was so busy.
I have gone back to try to skill up the last level I need, but they've broken my rod 3 times in a single day. I'm more curious if they were ninja'ed to break the rod after last update, or they were always able to and I was lucky before.
They always have. Though iirc it was around 1%ish at lvl 100. Still get some line snaps with ebisu
The claim is that Ebisu grants additional fishing skill, but has anyone tested whether this simply changes the regen rate when within a specific level range? The only tests I've seen use the regen rate, but if this is indeed skill, you should be able to do the stall at 89 skill with only Ebisu equipped.
1/7 Too bad all my crafts are capped Oo
Sorry to bring this up again, I know the furnishing skill subject has been discussed many times. My research, in this and other topics, led me to the conclusion I should get Stall and The Big One for fishing skill. However I purchased a Big One last week, and with the only other things in my MH being Fisherman's Stall and a Panetiere, I wasn't able to get the Mogenhancement fishing skill... I do have the mega Moglification: Fishing in my KIs.
What's the deal, I'm confused? Is the big one not necessary? Is the (recently retested, ty) +5 skill from the stall the most that can be obtained via furnishings?
So max would be 110 + neck 2 + body 1 + feet 2 + hands 1 + legs 1 + stall 5 for a total of 122? Not considering the eventual, unconfirmed + 46 from ebisu.
I was thinking trying to get the 150k gp item that has a stronger aura of fishing skill or would this be pointless?
Thank you.
