Edit: Picture. Also, I was too high on all my fishing characters to try out Crescent Fish, but I did this on Tavnazian Goby. On Goby you still caught some of them. I'm not sure if Crescent Fish are all too small catches and therefore infinite skill up opportunities.

You still catch Crescents about 20% of the time.

Lvl 0-26 I never caught 1. Around 26 I started catching them. Dont use fishing gear. Also I was able to get to GP level on new characters without ever becoming fatigued (even before the two week timer allows you to fish 200 fish)

That 2 weak thing sounds like the only real advantage. Though usually spend that time lvling and faming and getting OP warp to beau and such. When I tried crescants for a few days didn't really get much past what the fatigue cap would've been just cause of bite rate and that was fishing 24/7. Compared to going somewhere else for a couple of hours capping and getting about the same amount of skillups

I agree, and the risk of 24/7 fishing is also there. My goal was to get to turning in for GP faster and being able to start gutting Ebisu fish.

Not sure if that running total of Shaper's Shawl is still going on. Have been holding back from posting results until I actually received the cape. That said, have been turning them in on my leathercraft mule...

1/150 for mule.

hey guys! I just got my ebisu and was wondering if you all had any special tips with regards to hooking Haks, Liks, Gug, etc?
ex: how many minnows you generally need, etc

Hak - Sinking minnows>minnows
lik - minnows (never tried sinking)
gugs - meatballs

the more bait you bring the more fish you will catch before you run out of bait...

I did my lik for my first character at lvl 78. Got 12 before rod broke got item in 10. I tried gugs then but rod break was rediculously high. Like 2/3. Lvld it up to 100 got it down to like 1/3ish iirc

I find sinkers work better than reg minnows for liks.

Yeah but availability will stop that pretty quick. they come up pretty fast with just minnows, so either works fine.

Man how do they get enough minnows/sinkers? But yeah just was nice to be up there all alone all the time. Not to mention always knowing which ship was good on sinkers because I knew I was probably the last one to buy from any ship

Why not use other bait? I know the bite rate is lower. If you gain the ability to fish longer might it not end up being more profitable?

We still have it good here. But yes it seems the population of fisherman has gone up a lot in the past few months.

Whatever I still has my buyers and one is paying me higher then market just because iv fished so many for him lol.

I really try hard not to fish glacier. My time will come soon tho my list is getting short for gug/lik buyers. There's a small list for ss fish but at the going rate of 600k I might pass on that.

Also have a few other things iv been fishing but its much harder to find buyers without driving the price down.
