bait is still OK around here. I can snag them for 350~800gil still. and at worst if I can not get it around the better times I end up paying 1300~1500(sucks but its worth it.

I still find myself using meatballs more then minnows tho. Iv just been that lucky.(I helped a person with the rabbit NM and I still need nin feet to drop so hair meet I always seem to have LOL 8 stacks right now in my MH)

I said something in one of my LS's about hare meat once, ended up with ~7 stacks in my dbox by the next night. Most of the responses I got were "That's actually used for something?"

Got my ebisu, so thinking of trying out some fishing on Hakuryus. Best setup is to synth my own minnow/sinking minnow(I have 100 alchemy for synth) and use noddy/puffin rings? Anything else I should be aware of?

Depends on the server. On mine buying is better as I get them for less then 1k.

Even at 2k each spending time crafting seems crappy lol.

And yup rings are almost a must. Don't expect much more then an average of 70~100k per hour.

Be ready to zone a decent amount and what not to reset zone fatigue.

Can anyone detail any experience on the MMM fishing maze? I'd be starting from 0 marbles on a duplicate, wondering which runes I should be trying to get.

Also, anyone on sylph that can hook me up with said duplicate?

You can desynth Goblin & Bugbear Masks for Fiber.

Thanks for the info. How often do you think I need to zone to reset fatigue? I haven't done long fishing since before any of this stuff was in the game :<

You don't have to but it helps to do it every hour or two. You get that "you must wait longer to fish". If you zone it resets that. After 3 hours it gets unbearable.(for me anyways)

Is fisher's rope as useless as it sounds?

EDIT: And this is a long way off (still working on GP for serpent rumors), but should I get the stall emblem after that since it only costs 15k, or go right for the smock?

I would go ahead and get the stall assuming you have an apron.

By smock I meant apron. Unless I'm missing something, you don't need any further GP to get the smock, it's just a simple synergy upgrade from the apron. My question is basically is the "reduces chances of fishing up items" on the apron/smock significantly better than the +5 skill and whatever else the stall does. Does stall moghancement actually lower fish stamina like otherwiki says?

I got the stall on my 2 mules, but haven't bothered with smock. I'm sure it will help a tiny bit, and over time that tiny bit will add up, but meh especially when I consider the opportunity cost building all those GPs. On my main I have all items, but that is more for completions sake.

Getting gps for it isn't that hard. Fishing gps are pretty easy. Apron helps decently especially in towns. Upgrading to smock is a why not. The 1 skill will make a small difference over a very long time. Stall will help a bit again over a long time. Idk about stamina as I don't pay attention to that anymore. But I've found even small amounts of skill like say maybe as low as 1 (cant be certain if the extra furniture I had did anything over the stall and don't feel like long parsing again anytime soon) makes a small difference in bite/break rates. But probably not enough you'd care. 10 makes a decent difference
