My bad, brain thoughts running together lol. I'm interested in matsya and the shaw for my alchemy, cloth, bone guys. I was thinking about dropping one of those crafts down to 70 and capping out smithing or leather.
Was gonna either pump the matsya into one of them. The other thought was a steady daily income like I used to get with black sole lol. So next up, cave cherax to 110, then matsya spam lol

24 minnow. I average between 65-75 Hak's. Puffin ring, Noddy ring, Fishing torque, Mega Moglification: Fishing, Fisherman's Smock. If you're seriosu about Matsya, best to bring a mule to hold the 6 mobs or go as bst. Cave Cherax is 1 in 4 for the Pugil. 1 in 10 Pugil for a Matsya assuming you have mobs up and/or pull up junk.

I don't know about matsya or whatever else, but I'm pretty confident +skill does absolutely nothing for fishing haks. My bite/line break rates are the same at 110+12 as they were at 90+6.

I've kept track since I have 3 ebisus at different lvls specifically to track this. And yes it does make a difference. Small but it's there

Definitely thinking I need more minnow data and for my main. But still can see sinkers clearly better than regular by a decent amount.

Does anyones FPS get stuck at 15 after fishing? Mines been stuck there for like 12 hours even after a bunch of zoning.

iirc some of the programs that use the fface.dll mess with it. Like I now even fishing mine it can stay at 29+. So it could freeze it at 15 I suppose

How much better though? If you're buying Minnows/Sinkers, and assuming Minnows are around 1400-1700 gil almost all the time now, could you figure out at what price Sinking Minnows become less profitable based on those numbers?

Hmm would be difficult since given the time factor both for procuring the bait and how long it takes to fish that much. I'll try to figure out. Of course if both are at low availability might want to buy both anyways. Lose so much fishing time traveling around waiting for ships

Hmmm probably would need to know how many lures were available at each price... anyone got those prices?

I can give you max prices next time I goto any NPC, it's something along the lines of 1863 and 4773

Well I was thinking to really figure this out with any justice to figure out net gain per hour which would be the only way to really do justice to comparing prices would be not just how much money you make on average while actually fishing compared to bait cost but for the entire session. So basically how much you make - how much that amount of bait costed / time spent getting bait and fishing. While it sounds a little over kill when you are only getting like 10 bait on a boat ride and it's costing you like 20 minutes to do that not to mention traveling back to spot in beau it should factor decently into it. So I figured I'd need at basically most the higher tiers prices and quantity obtainable. Of course if you have competetion it throws everything out the window

Desnything for copper ingots / glass fiber can add more time to farming, but the overall benefit may make it worthwhile.

I would imagine a robber or rogue rig would work just as well. Just remember NOT to wear your smock/apron

Is there a location where you can fish up the masks and desynth them in the same spot without getting agro?

oldton. Though I actually prefer to take them back since I think you break an hq tier (does that apply to desynth idk) with guild support at lvl 70. Even if it doesn't my break rate goes way down with support for some reason. Plus a full invent of masks makes a shit ton of fiber then can hop over to next zone for ring breaking

Thanks for the advice, my alchemy is 110 so I am curious to give this a try. So, what is the easiest way to get to Oldton Movalpolos? It's been quite awhile since I've been in that zone.
