I would always suggest the Pergroxac.. whatever, the P-fish in Nashmau til 99. You're in a city with a unstackable fish, but you have access to a NPC to NPC the fish (they aren't used for anything) right there, and you don't have to worry about catching any mobs.

If you use live bait (lugworms?), you single them out. I haven't caught black sole and cave cervax in so long, that I can't really justify a comparison in bite-rates. But I always found it more worth it.

If you don't want to use live bait, pretty sure Shrimp Lure will still hook em fairly decently, but you'll hook other fish too.

Black Sole to 96 isn't bad either, since it is profit at least. None-the-less, I don't think anything beats a fish that takes you to 99 when you can just NPC em just behind you to a silly corsair rat. <3

In comparison to Cave Cervax, the bite rate is better. Only thing i can suggest is... give it a shot And hope there's no fish bots there on your server. If there are, usually sending them a tell causes them to stop, oddly enough. lol.

lolz yeah, you should have seen the fish bots there used to be, there was like 9 in nashmau, all 4 letts slkd askd fenj sldjf nwec alsk blah blah lolz all gone in 2 days, i laughed. nashmau is a really great place, i went from 53 (shall shells) to 90, all in nashmau on ata's and merc, its like 130k. but if it's a good catch rate, i'll peng ring it up and sit back and chillax watchin movies till i'm 99 then do cave cherax till 100. thanks for the info bro

After trying pretty much every options for 90-99, I have to say that Nashmau's Pterygotus (lu shang + lugworm) is the best fucking option. They are very easy to catch, and as someone said above, you can watch movies and get good skillup and good gil at the same time. Wonderful

Just one thing to correct Shadowrunner's post above : they don't stack. But who cares

I'm kicking myself because the whole purpose of mentioning that there is a NPC to sell the fish to is because they're -un- stackable. >.<. I'll edit that post now.

I'm re-inspired to go for it. It's still so depressing to think about though... sigh... lol I think i'll give Lik a few more shots.

blarg, it turns out my average is 15 in an hour for the lvl 99 fish. is it comf. that the nearer you get to the fishing level the more your bite rate goes up? tbh i havn't cared till now because nothing is this shitty of catch rate lolz. still this is the best one to skill up off of cuz of no breaking rods and convinance of npcs to sell to

I can't confirm it with statistics, but it seems I get a lot more catches at 97 than I got when I was 75-80. Now at 97.x I'm closer to 22 catches per hour, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less.

This makes me realize I spent a LOT of time there, seeing the pile of money I made on Pterygotus

i'll post an easy answer for you. if lu shangs, go to nashmau with a shrimp lure, nothing can break you line and it skills you up to 86/90. i did it from 53-90 on both my characters wheeeee 260k/day when not outside having a life

lu shangs once, bought the other one, and i dont know if i'm going to attempt ebisu lol. i want to but all these stories make me go mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm idk... only reason i'd decide agaisnt it is because i have a steady income, and fishing lik/G's would cut my profit in half for funding my clothcraft. so i'm kind of iffy, but i've heard a SHIT load of good stuff from ebisu owners, such as less line breaks on legendaries *drools all over your key board

    = no

lol. No WW will make this quest... unfathomable. If you have a WW mule, maybe. But... be prepared. I'm not sure what people with ebisu have told you, but i'll tell you this. The only 2 reasons I am ever going to complete the Ebisu quest is to 1) be able to take WW back down and level a craft i enjoy and 2) to justify the time i've already spent on it.
