Oh idk about your servers but over here I've seen them do that occasionally. Usually they will do a tell ask you if you can stop fishing and do an emote or turn around or something. If you do you pass and they wish you a happy day. If you don't I'd assume you get jailed. Hence why I started making sure I'm in earshot at all times for the last couple years when I frist started seeing it

yeah they haven't done this in ages if that was the last time its still ages, its not any sort of regular or even occasional thing. This is definitely a renewed interest. Be cautioned.

Like I already said that is merely the last one I have a screenshot of no need to move goalposts. And yeah usually there was a few months between sweeps though the one before that had been the week before. That's why I said you should always be within earshot cause you never know when they might randomly sweep.

And yeah byrth I talked to one and they said they were doing it by zone. Even watched on do the Gm warp thing to each person in alphabetical order in zone lol. Though last time they got me he was in that super invis mode where I can't see at all or target

Yeah I haven't seen anything anywhere else on other toons, I think they're just hitting up Glacier. But I'm still unsure of what their motives are. I was totally AFK, although not fishing at the time. I have no idea how long the GM was there or how many other people besides Jaypea he got. I wonder if they are targeting players with priors, or players without other toons (read: players who generate more than one accounts income).

At a guess it could be a combination of both, many of the people that were fishing around us are people that I know have more than one account.
I fully believe there is some sort of criteria they are using to target specific players. I say this because it would have been many more than Jaypea who got jailed/banned out there today. Possibly myself included; although I was not AFK fishing, I expected at LEAST a or message of some sort. The fact I didn't get one and everyone else was more or less unscathed; leads me to believe the gm had an agenda that didn't include us.

Pretty easy to kill a bot on a GM tell since chat logs are tagged with a Boolean for if the person talking to you is a GM or not. Looks like maybe they got a little clever. Still pretty shitty.

True but just killing a bot wont get you off the hook either. I've had them ask me to move around certain ways and do certain emotes before. Plus not seeing an emote is bs. I miss most emotes when I'm at the comp. Hell who responds to emote pokes from people they don't know anyways? Idk just seems really unlikely. Anyone ever get a screenshot of a ban just from emotes?

Emotes aren't even guaranteed to turn up in the log. Recently I've been getting the emote thingy from chatmon when wandering around and nothing displaying in the log. Makes me wonder how often in the past this has occurred as I've only used Chatmon since Windower 4.

Aren't they also filterable?

Yeah you can filter emotes so /tells seem to be the only way unless they communicate telepathically

I don't wanna put everyone all up in arms, but it seems like, at least on my server, the GM is targeting Brits...

Today GM Drakenyte came back, around the same time he was there yesterday, and this time he took out two chars that we know for sure of. Those chars were Hjui and Fuuki, both are brits, as is Jaypea from yesterday. Now I can only assume but I'm guessing Crumpet is likely also a Brit. Could be a big coincidence of course, and he could be going with "alphabetical" order method Dasva mentioned. It is strange though.

Jaypea messaged me today and said the person who is using his account (whilst he is on vacation) told him its a 72hr, he doesn't know for sure though. Fuuki's message was lm-11 as well so he is assuming its a temp.
