I leveled woodworking on another account so I can follow my character and repair my lu shangs. This isn't an option for everyone, but it's a way to go about the ebisu quest without leveling woodworking on your main.

i'll post an easy answer for you. if lu shangs, go to nashmau with a shrimp lure, nothing can break you line and it skills you up to 86/90. i did it from 53-90 on both my characters wheeeee 260k/day when not outside having a life

Took a look at that (I'm newb to fishing in ToAU) and it's very similar to SSG right? It's funny but people on my server seem unaware that those fish equivalents exist (nice that I have 100 cooking). I'm at 61 fishing so I'm certainly interested in switching if there's a better place to skill.

Curious if it's really better to trade (equiv) of Nebs for Gold Lobster.. Everytime I end up with a 3-fish setup like that, I always seem to hook like 90% of the lower fish. Is your experience here different?

i usually cap out on fish in nashmau in 3-4 hours, and since i fish on the dock, theres an npc right behind you to npc all your fish to. but dont quote me on the 3-4 hours, i've had long days before, soooooooo annoying. and you just crushed it for me, no ww = dont attempt ebisu? /cries. i could level woodworking on my mule, take a while and all, but if i get less line snaps on legendaries i'm doing it, and to the guy who asked what i fish, for the 300k a day (thats like 14 hours a day or more D: D: D, i can't say, or everyone else will do it then SE will be like "lol screw that, cutting the npc price to 1/4th!!!! suck on that!"

oh and for claification (i can't spell leave me alone) the shrimp lure targets ONLY the lvl 86 and 90 lures, so no monsters since your in a city. only 4things to catch, those 2 fish, and 2 rustys which i get maybe about 20 bites from them per DAY. so its pretty much either "you dont catch anything" or one of the fish

I'd say on the Lik alone, I have a 30% Rod break, 30% Line snap, 40% Catch ratio. You burn through light crystals quite fast ... and at times it can possibly be a loss synth (as price on light crystals was rockin high a some point). If you have no method of WW, then don't stress it. You could use your Lu's to fish up the 300k a day, then sell the fish and buy the Ebisu fish. It's a possibility... . :3. That way, you stand no chance of breaking your rod either XD.

i fish with 98 fishing(trying for 99 in nash)
and on a good day i make like 250k(max) what are you guys doing O.o
i think the 250k days might even be when i pull out my 2nd acc and fish lol.

If you have no method of WW, then don't stress it. You could use your Lu's to fish up the 300k a day, then sell the fish and buy the Ebisu fish. It's a possibility... . :3. That way, you stand no chance of breaking your rod either XD.

There is a NPC in rabao who will repair your Lu shang if you trade a light cristal and a ancient lumber, for those w/o WW.

For fishing up lik and gugru having the npc repair it really is not feasible, as shadow said, with 30% rod breaks, you will spend most of your time traveling

Answering my own question:

I've been here 1 hour, and caught zero Istakoz (Gold Lobster). Lots of no catches which would be Nebs in SSG, but I still like fishing here. Thanks for the recommendation, the skillups are nice here at 61.

Also I usually use sites like grand-blue/finalfishing/clanwind but have yet to find anything about the bite rate on Nebimomites(sp?) in SSG. Should I use a Shrimp Lure down there or possibly a type of paste.....Also which lake would be better. I am tired of a ferry ride where I am only catching at about 6-10 a trip.... would rather stay put and fish a while without having to keep waiting on ship...

Nebs I'd say use shrimp lure for simplicity, and drop any !!!'s, unless you have lu shangs.. then you can just drop the mobs.
