Use a composite rod with those baits and fish for those fish. You can skill up on "the fish was too small to catch with this rod" messages, but they don't count towards your 200-fish daily limit. Thus, you can fish for something like 24 hours straight instead of only 12.

Just started doing them today (~an hour ago) and have been getting a too small message. I haven't actually seen any skillups yet so I'm not sure if it's just my dumb luck or you can only get skillups doing it with certain fish?

edit: Bleh. Just got a line break, so you'd need quite a few minnows and it probably isn't worth the gil.

Yeah, I should have clarified. We're out of fish that give "too small" and don't break your line, but also use lure bait.

So I'm slightly confused on furniture. Wiki states that Mega Moglification adds previous ones together and improves stats. I only have the Stall and the Big One in my mog house but I do have Mega Moglification : Fishing. What's my current bonus?

If I remember correctly, the stall is enough to get Mega Moglification. Whether the other items improve it somehow is still unknown. I haven't seen any reliable source that proves what is stated on the wiki.

I will check tonight on my own account and confirm this.

If the fishing stall works like every other stall, the other items mean nothing to the megamoglification. No data available to determine if it does indeed work like other stalls but it seems likely that it does.

I've parsed slightly better results with my main which has all kinds of furniture while mule has inly stall however main also has waders vs mules crafted boots so it might be that. Regardless the difference was pretty small you can search back thru the thread to find where I posted it if you want

we can ask the people here, we had a few people get hit. Have any of you hit ever sold any gil? not like people give a crap, we had someone on the site banned for selling like 20,000 worth from blinkers or something LOL

The rmt thing makes zero sense. If they have reason to believe you sold gil in rmt, you get banned regardless of how you acquired it. They won't start stalking you to wait until you're afk fishing. Also I'm pretty sure that they don't temp ban for selling gil in rmt, they perma regardless of priors if I recall correctly.

Well it's not like they necessarily know you sold the gil. Could just be suspicious with big transfers but can't prove anything then when they check you out and see you basically printing money they try to nab you

Having known several people who got banned for selling gil, there is no interaction with the player. You go to log on one day and get notice that you got banned for rmt. Most of the time people are pissed because they swear no one can prove it. Doesn't matter, they still got banned without any chance to defend themselves. Too add to this, none of the players I'm referencing cheated to acquire their sold gil.

Edit: I'm fairly certain the reason for the difference of treatment in RMT cases is because GMs don't handle RMT, the special task force does that and the two entities aren't necessarily in cooperation. I'm no expert on this and could be wrong but this is the way I've always understood it.

Yes, easier with a bot, but can still legitimately without.
