Dwarf Remora - A new hatchling from the remora, a species of fish that has managed to survive for countless eons.
Frigorifish -The colder the water, the more this fish thrives, for it can only be found in rivers and lakes in Ulbuka that have been frozen over.
Yawning Catfish - Roaming the waters deep within Ulbuka's continental rifts, this freshwater fish is surprisingly elusive for its massive size.

Were there any more beyond these? I'm curious what Remora will NPC for

So I have been on deployment for the last 5 months. I didn't use exiled then, but if I did, I bet it worked perfectly. I just got home yesterday, and let's say hypothetically speaking that exiled didn't work anymore, even after the update to the newest version. Any ideas? It detects a character but it says "error - equip rod and bait" and if I used a fish bot, I'd be super irritated at it! Thanks gars

You probably didn't actually get the newest version just the newest of the old if that makes sense since it was completely rebuilt

According to ffxiah remora is 2.6k but still might be worth it depending on bait cost/loss rate and of course catch rate. no data on the others. Well only 2 new zones so it's probably one of them. Guess I'll try some fishing

Ok did a little fishing in woh gates. Yawning catfish was biting pretty decently on minnow, sinking minnow and sabiki rig. Got a remora on the sabiki though acn't discount the others since I didn't use them long. Don't really have bite rates since I don't really know how to add fish to the database on this yet lol. Also remora was going crazy rod wise.

Went to Kamirh drifts. Managed to get some ruzsor meat with lugworms which does sell decently but couldn't get anything else worthwhile off them and nothing good off sabaki. And with minnow/sinking it was non stop monster/no bite fest.

Mind you this was all just 15-20 minute fishing with each bait at each place so not really concrete but gives you an idea. Gunna leave a mule at drifts overnight to see maybe if I can get something else.

At hometown with capped fame remora was 2705 the catfish was 612

Edit: just noticed someone said they got the frig fish in drifts with little worm so might have to try that sometime. Also just caught some with sabiki. In 3s even

Frigorfish were only 156. Also sidenote I noticed something odd when I was fishing. My cast delay kept increasing very quickly. Like despite the fact I hadn't caught anything all day I saw it go up my first 4 casts and by the time I got up this morning despite having caught nothing else all night since my last post it had gone to max. Meanwhile my character that is still fishing up haks stayed at minimum

Were you possibly kill fishing too fast??

I had exactly the same settings for all my characters as far as how fish were fished up including the one fishing haks that didn't change. Not to mention it kept going up while I wasn't reeling anything in.

Edit: Actually just noticed my delay had actually gone higher than I had ever seen. Like higher than capped fatigue in a zone I haven't left in over a week and was still getting bites. Very odd

So tried Woh gates again with a few baits. Had a whole bunch typed up but then it dissappeard . Long story short several baits did nothing but get occasional monsters a couple got some remora bites but I broke line around 14 out of 15 times and bite rate looked to be about the same as haks to begin with. Sliced carp made it so I got catfish every other cast pretty much. Might be good for skill up depending on lvl I suppose. And Sabiki rig got me Dwarf Remora alot. Like between the great bite rate and the getting 1-3 per cast I ended up getting 17 in about 15 minutes or so. But they only npced for 222. Kind of funny but would get the epic message for them but they are small fish and don't break line lol

Anyone try gutting the new fish? I would imagine the catfish and remora at least are guttable, no idea what would be in them though

I haven't tried but at least in last couple of updates they have always said when they are adding new guttables in the update

nice investigative work there Dasva. The Dwarf Remora/Remora is interesting, here's hoping they become relevant in this upcoming december update and hopefully create a new guttable item.

Yeah I'm sure someone could find better combos with more work put into it but right now the fish appear a crap shoot. I could see them making remora have some use later though. I mean the break rate on it makes Matysa look good lol
