Anyone have any information about sekiryu and i guess there's another ryu fish besides that and haks?
iirc they are fished up in abyssea![]()
yeah i remember sekiryu is fished up in abyssea with a meatball i guess though i'm not exactly sure where. I don't even know the name of the oher one lol.
There's such a lack of information about new fish it's not even funny.
ok just tried shen at yahse hunting grounds if anyone's curious.
A few notes:
1) for accessibility can't much beat it... just zone out of eastern aldoin.
2)Not much rod movement at all but it has a SUPER fast regen at my lvl (99) so reeling them in is a matter of how many gold arrows i got.
For this reason duck rings seem to work well although i'm not a fan of a charge lasting only 4 minutes.
Fun fact: Although you can equip rings from your mog wardrobe, if you need to use a charge, it appears you need the ring to be in your regular inventory.
3) Does appear to be affected by mooching as I believe the music cycled through twice without use of albatross ring.
4)wiki's info about biting on meatballs is correct. Besides cobalt jellyfish, items, and monsters, it was the only fish that bit on these. Bite rate was soso. There may be better, untested bait.
5) Also in agreement with wiki: Npc's for about 2.5k.
haven't played since end of 2013, but soryu were aby-mis with troutballs by flux 8 coastline and kokuryu were sinking minnows and something else (maybe meatballs) at vunkerl bridges
ty gaira.
found the answer to my other question on ffxiah
What's the best alternative to meatballs when fishing Cave Cherax? The AH has been short recently.
Other wiki lists rotten meat as the next best: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Cave_Cherax
You could try rotten meat, but that may not be available on the ah either. If not you could farm them from the nearby antica if you're fishing at the fountain of kings. That said i think i tried that but got no bites. What I would suggest is getting your meatballs from one of the fishing guilds. They haven't been out of stock on my server at least and I usually get 180 of them at a time for 52 gil a piece. Even if your trading the cherax to zaldon for 800 gil you should easily profit.
Why not craft meatballs have not played ff11 in some time but I think one of the zones right outside sandy with a thf averaged 2 drops of meat per kill. and they are one hit kills.
Yeah I always did abyssea and just asked anyone killing rabbits for meat. If not kill them on thf. With close spawns and easy kills since in abyssea you can farm a stack or 2 in 10 min solo
This mob in this zone is the correct answer: http://www.ffxidb.com/zones/100/wild-rabbit
http://www.ffxidb.com/zones/217/russet-rarab
Pretty much same droprate
True. But one is lvl -2 lol tho repop times might not matter seeing any spawn rates there are more outside sandy.
Yep. mass AOE kill and craft them. I'm sure they can be still auto crafted. LOL.
While yeah you can kill level 2 faster the closeness and repop times mean I can average 3-4 kills a minute solo which normal zones often require more running than that. Plus xps!!! Used to be a lot better when people were already pting there and tossing it. Would get stacks and stacks for free
Having tried Matsya before and after the update, they're still about the same level of toughness to pull in. One strange thing I noticed was if I depleted the fish's health too fast I would almost certainly get a line break, however if I depleted the matsya's HP down to 0 then waited for the "You don't have much longer" message I'd have a much better chance of reeling it in, almost as if with the new system you can get them down too fast. 110+9 Puffin/Albatross
From what I've read the visual indicator now lags behind what actual fish hp is. So maybe if had actually gone back up a little and you didn't see it?
dropped ebisu rod by mistake, any way to get it back? or can i redo the quest? BG wiki says quest is not repeatable, other wiki says it is, anyone know? thx
