For what? The quest? We gotta catch and trade in the five fish I listed just 2 posts ago. NPC gives us vague hints about where to get them.

Atm Im wandering around cirdas trying to find if theres another water source. The castoff point to get to yorcia didnt net me any fish no matter what bait I used.

I'm up to 54 species caught but I'm kinda running out of places (quick to get to at least) to go to for new fish.

Theres a total of 150 speices, so we have to catch 66% of the fish in the game.

After 60 species, youre pretty much stuck with running to zones to catch 1-2 fish per zone.

Took me 6 hours total.

Step 1: Unlock your RoE objectives by doing the "talk to guild leader" RoE

Step 2: Complete all the "catch unique fish" RoEs (need to catch 100 different fish)

Step 3: Talk to mr ebisu dude

Step 4: You have to go hunt down the following 5 fish

Lord of Ulbulka
Matsya
Phantom Serpent

I can't figure out Lord of Ulbulka myself, I think hes in either Cirdas or Dho gates. Could really use a hand hunting him down as both are VERY big areas with lots of spots he could be caught.

I'm guessing I am catching Lord of Ulbulka in Cirdas but I can't make a dent in it. I used a Robber Rig and Dwarf Pugils but it's too fast and I fish too vanilla

Hows the bite rate on robbers?

I got 10 pugils, Ill give it a try.

Edit: Also, to make 100% sure, your fishing at the little stream you can boat across to get to yorcia, is this the right spot?

I tried a few times with Robbers and snagged it then tried Pugils and caught it a few times. Bite rate didnt seem bad.

I am at the stream. Going to Moh or Doh. There are a few other fishes listed at the person in Mhaura that arent the new legendaries. Maybe there is a certain type of bait.

Im pretty sure this is Lord of Ulbulka, he's giving me consistantly the "lack of skill" message, and Im 101+9 skill

Moh gates with insect ball gives me a different type of fish with different rod movement but I can't fish it up either.

Pretty sure this is Ancient Carp. Probably Zaldon fish.

Generally speaking anywhere in zone that can will so. Usually the exceptions are things like different coasts like in qufim or ones that have fresh water and salt water and river/stream vs pool/lake and sometimes waterfall. Think there are a couple of other exceptions but I wouldn't worry too bad at hitting every single pool the first time

Pretty sure its stream in Cirdas. Farming cave cherax atm for more bait to take another go at Lord, Ill post results if I even get any

Results: Whatever the hell it is, I cant land it. Nothing but "too low skill" line snaps, 100% of the time. 0/15 or so on landing it. Barely can get it to 0 with stamina rings and playing on my shitty PC, then "you dont have enough skill hurrhurrhurr"

Not even getting skillups off whatever this thing is.

Are you using both enchantment rings and mooching? I assume 110 skill plus mega mog, full equipment and hq support?

101+9 skill, + mega mog, double enchantment rings. No mooching though.

I wonder if the 10 more skill I can get (9 from grinding, 1 from waders) is enough to make this 100% line snap rate become reasonable.

I think it might be a stop gap though, might be impossible to catch the fish without mooching, not sure.

Ugh I dont have mooching. but i do have 110 skill plus gears and mega mog. Also there is a head item with fishing something on it and some gloves that reduce rod breakage. As rod breakin wont really effect an ebisu person I would guess you can get it at low to mid fishing skill. Im wondering about Zaldon for those items.

I think mooching just helps time on line... but yeah skill will certainly help the no skill ones. think it's the only thing that will. But getting more to that point is always good
