got the dragon tabernacle on the twilight beach at cape teriggan with a shrimp lure, 1st bite was tough to reel in, switched to penguin and albatross ring, got another bite quite fast, reeled it in easily

screened it to prove if needed, it is the lord, but it's... impossible.

the rod goes batshit crazy and any arrow i managed to actually hit removed a slight portion of his hp that he regened instantly.

was using albatross and penguin ring, had the fisherman's belt support up, i'm 102 + 7 with stuff, and mega mooglification fishing but without all guild items, still need 2 of them

I had to use methods to slow down my computer to make the fish even possible to get to 0.

No fucking clue how SE expects a normal human being to catch this fish.

Im up to 103 fishing now. Decided fuck it, Im gonna work on Phantom Serpent first. 1/4 done catching up a handful of each of the Ryus.

I have to be honest... I noticed Fisherman's Feast is not R/E. Probably can be crafted by cooks.

Im gonna get myself some and try again, see if it helps. Hope it does.

Theres some options

Straight up cheating wise, ashita has the FPS plugin that literally slows the game animations down.

Otherwise, you can find programs that slow your pc down on purpose.

This particular fish is actually a big deal because PS2 users cant go to ulbulka, a common trick before was to do it on PS2, it really is better for fishing overall. Can even hook keyboards up to PS2s.

My go to is the fps addon for ashita, since my PC is a beast and makes most fishing a pain in the ass.

tried ashita... didn't go well at all. downloaded a rar ashita 2, only executable file is in a ffxi bootmod called pol.exe, seemed good enough, failed to connect to server...

went to look for documentation, any link i can find ends up on their main page of a completely non user friendly page with tons of projects and no explanation for anything.

tried the local docs that actually links to online threads on forums that don't even exists anymore and redirect to the same main page... yeah.

yeah i heard about that on some posts here, and searching a little more i found an old release that works, and it's updated fine, i had a version issue with the launcher i found on their help page, gonna check this out, thanks

All the links in that thread are broken. If you go to the developer site and download the version there it does exactly what Mijean was saying it does. Apparently there's an ashita.exe file it uses but it's not included with the build on the site. =(

Update: I was able to find an old version of Ashita in this thread so I stole the exe from there and dropped it into the version hosted on their dev site and everything appears to be working.

Having maat as my unity leader has been a great boon for doing this.

Two and a half days of doing this damn quest for my Ebisu+1, but every hour so Maat chimes in with words of encouragement for me.

(on a completely unrelated note, i can't reel a hakuryu at 15 fps but i can easily at 60 fps, for me 15 fps makes me miss some arrows lol, wtf is wrong with me xD)

At too low of FPS, some of the arrows actually get skipped, there are certain sweet spots depending on your pc.
