It also seems to have the same boost Mega moglification does, cuts what appears to be 2 seconds off hook time. Only takes me 5-6 seconds to hook on fish or get the "you caught nothing message"

As opposed to the 8-9 seconds with Mega moglification.

Gonna see what line snap rate is like on matsya.

yeah i wouldn't have found it, but close i guess, i was reading patch note, thinking easy as you said, watching maps for some reives to clear, and i came to the conclusion of fishing in doh and moh gates, but i didn't know about the 2 other ones... so yeah, i couldn't have found them

It also seems to extend fishing time? Either that or it depletes stamina so fast that it seems quicker. Gugrusaurus were losing stamina on a neutral line instead of regening. Cave cherax took 3 golden opportunities (which seem more frequent) to reel in.

Moving on: Where the hell do we get the new fishing glasses and gloves from?

Zaldon wont take any of the 5 legendaries from ulbuka, wont take any of the new legends, wont take king perch, I think that pretty close to hits all the fatties?

Based on the naming convention, the glasses sound like they come from adoulin. Share a naming convention with drops from WKRs, that about all there is for hints on that weve been given

Is it likely the +1 rod has more hidden skill on it as well?

From my recent findings, it is unlikely Ebisu ever had any hidden +skill to begin with (or very little). I'm definitely going to be running a lot of tests and investigation once I get my Lu and Ebisu upgraded though..

wow, got what needed, stilll can't beat the lord... he's still crazy, downed it to mid hp at best, then it goes too fast, lose some focus, mistakes, full hp regen...

edit : got it going back to the goold old button mashing... spammed either 4 or 6 on the keypad depending on what was "trending" as directions, hoping it didn't change too much in a row lol

Seems that way, Im fatigue draining on fish that I was regening on before.

Im starting to think the glasses and gloves are gonna be from a login campaign, I am not seeing any kind of source to get them from.

I am not seeing any other zaldon fish other than the 4 ryus either, gonna check over the list one more time though.

Dont see any new quests, and I think all the hard mode battles are accounted for, someone wouldve seen drop by now. Probably not dropped from unity either.

Keep in mind they're level 1 gear too so they'd drop consistent with other sources of level 1 stuff. I'm guessing it's a login campaign thing too.

Has anyone finished all of the normal fishing RoE?

Possible to take a look, make sure SE hasnt added any more to the chain of the "catch x amount of fish with y rod" line? It should just go up to Bamboo, but maybe SE added more RoEs after bamboo this update. Could drop from there.

SO for the ebisu +1 quest. will the roes be finishable retroactively? like if i fish a matsya now before i start it will i be able to just finish that one off or should i just wait for the quest?

Also like i said before for people with ebisu (most high level fishers) we wouldnt need gloves that lower rod breakage as badly. So I am guessing something low and mid level fishers can get. did u check fishin contest for new prizes? although id guess they would have mentioned that.

There are no RoEs for the main quest. The main quest is a turn in quest, you trade em to an NPC.

Could probably have a friend catch the fish for you to be honest.

The only RoE quest is the "catch 100 different fish" you have to finish to flag the main quest, from there its just a normal turn in quest.

I was wondering why I caught Lord of Ulbulka before I went to bed. I had said screw it and went back to catching different types of fish and tried again later on. All I needed was the Phantom fish but I was too tired and ended up #3 on Siren.

Too bad there isn't an afterglow

weird thing, i'm going back to getting the afterglow on my lu shang now and fishes are biting faster than before, did the ebisu buff works for all canes now ? weird
