Tried the other day since I just dinged 53 and figured i'd try a bridge fish before more in Nash. I cast about 10 times, 1 sandfish, a 9 no bites/monsters. I left.

WOW. I didnt even know you could catch sandfish. Last time I went there was Bastore Sweeper (?) and Cobalt Jellyfish were only things I really noticed on my line. I guess a sandfish or two could have been hiding with Jellyfish though, those reel in quick. Also, I find you have to try for at least 100 casts (if not more) on a new site. You really dont start to notice the true catch rate till you have pulled in upwards of 100. Just my experience, though.

Edit: Just checked Great Blue, according to them, Sandfish isnt even an option. The only other small (!) catches aside from shells you should get are items, Jellyfish, Bastore Sardine, Quus, Ogre Eel, Garpike, and Bastore Bream, and all of them rarely. You were fishing off the Bridges right?

Wow, just started Liks, and they are so easy. With both rings they are far faster to fish up than even Black Sole. With just the Albatross they are quite a bit harder, but still easier than Titans, imo. Lot of line breaks, though.

Hmm maybe that was my problem I just ran to the campaign Area and fished where I didn't think I'd be agro'd or lagged. Do u mean the bridge otw to the campaign npc or somewhere else in the zone?

I very well maybe be wrong but I thought it was a !, *fish, and npc'd for a very small amount. Maybe I'll waste some time tryng to figure it out later through my browsers history since I checked the fishes level and it was 20ish. But like I said I fished inthe lake near campaign not off the bridge.

You run a Dynamis shell dont you Dejet? You shouldnt even need money. Dynamis pays for itself 10 times over. Just Rolanmart a Hundred every run and youll be golden for the next 1-2 runs. Still, wow that is shitty luck. I'm already 0/8 on Liks lol. I just hope I only need one Albatross to fish up all I need. Right now I can pull in about 1-2 per charge, so if I am 1/360 that will be enough for me (I hope it comes earlier though ^^).

I'm 83 fishing myself, and would like to start on Ebisu stuff as soon as I can, just curious where you stand.

Well I decided to go back out and try some Trumpet Shells again after realizing I was fishing in the lake not off a bridge. Mind you the sample size is small but I couldn't take it anymore and went back to Nash for faster skill ups and probably equal gil over time.

Trumpet Shells: 6
Other fish: 4
No Catch: 8
Monster: 3
Item (or atleast I think, fast ass depletion with !): 8
Totals from this small sample size: 6/29 or 21% chance of trumpet bite

The main reason I gave up on them and came back to Nash was 2 fold: At 55 skill + 4 gear + 1 furnishing they were depleting very slowly. Each time I reeled a trumpet in I barely pulled it off after seeing the You're not sure how much longer you can keep the fish on the line message using Lu + robber. Secondly, I'm after skill ups + profit, this was definitely too slow opportunity wise for skill ups.

I use an Albatross Ring in both Nash and Vunk or I can barely pull many of the fish in time at 63 skill.

You'll get both Jellyfish and an assload of rusty shit at Vunkerl bridges.

Today when I dinged 55 (+5 gear/MH=60?) Nash fish seemed to get a LOT easier. I swear I was struggling a little bit at 53/54, but once I ding'd it seemed to be a difference of night and day. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I'm not using any rings and I think I only lost 1-2 fish out of 100+ so far today because of "time out."

While it is good for your members, abusing your leader position to sponsor runs is like the only reason I would even consider leading a Dynamis shell. I guess if you have to pay for other LS events that could be a problem.

As great as it sounds I am a Co-Leader, even though i started the shell. Rules i made state that you need to show the leaders your stage 2 relic before we even think about letting you sponsor a run. though selling my lu shang would give me stage 2 horn. That sorta is the start of my plan.

I was worried I had used up all my Zaldon luck when I got Merc Sword off my 3rd Titan. Guess you can always count on the Random Number Generator to deliver eventually.

I am wondering now whether or not I will get my Woodworking to 80 before or after I finish Ebisu quest. I am torn between the two possibilities. Cheap route to 80 vs. money stick and skillup the expensive way. It is probably more time efficient to just fish up the money then spend some of it on WW. Let's hope I end up with the choice ^^. I really dont want dejet's Gug luck........ may god have mercy on your soul......
