When going for skillups it usually seemed that you might get one early on in your fishing for the day and then I wouldn't get any till I got closer to fatigue, but in oldton movalpolos this takes forever to get to.

Bite rate on Cherax for me was about 1/8, compared to about 1/4 for Pterygotus or Armored Pisces. Combine that with having to make bait, losing some catches to "lack of skill", and the risk of breaking your Lu, IMO Cherax is way too much trouble to bother with unless you are going for Angel Skin at the same time.
I did Talacca to 90, then Black Sole to 96, then a combination of the three above to 100. After 96 I had a dry spell with no skillups for a couple of weeks even with Pelican Ring, but then finally they started coming in.
Sinking Minnow single-targets Sole in Qufim.
I fished ice pond and north cliff both east and west, seemed about the same. I don't remember if I ever tried the south cliff.
Should've kept count but I didnt want to go crazy if I reached a high number:

Can't wait till conquest tally ^_^
Screenshot speaks for itself....this was my only skill up of the night last night after a 2 hour fishing session.

im now 0/968 on gugs! I should trade in 30-150 more by the end of the week
i am closing in on the record, the most ever is 1046 based off other wiki. i am so cose to breaking that ; ; lol
Is there a quick way to Nashmau? I ended up on Dvucca Isle my last trip through Nyzul trying to find a way.
Get an salvage permit, take dvucca isle staging point, hug left wall, enter ruins for free (can even talk to npc with aggro), and take the only porters available. You'll exit the runs right outside Nashmau
I'm captain so I don't worry about using IS instead of a permit. But I warp to ilrusi (sp) staging point put up ss and escape. Once you've escaped sneak/invis and run north then east once u get through the tunnel and past the only imp that should be in ur way. I'm always on blm so if I agro it I just sleep it and keep moving. There are chigoes along the way upto the imp so make sure you use sneak and invis. I find this to be the easiest route because I have escape
If you don't mind spending ISP on a teleport: Nyzul Staging Point -> NE -> Left Port (takes you to Salvage entrance) -> Left Port (takes you to Khim exit) -> Left Port (takes you just east of Nashmau)
You'll end up just SE of the lake that's E of Nashmau. Only thing that aggros is the imp (EP@75) in the area right outside of Nyzul, and chigoes if you run along the wall south of the lake. Run west along the lake and you shouldn't pop any.
i've found the fastest way is like was said above, use Dvucca Isle staging point, hug the left wall, talk to guard (either need Silver piece, remnants permit, or captain to get through). Once inside, take the portal on your left, then take the middle door and exit to Caedarva. Pass through the guard, then if you hug the right (past the 2 ponds, nothing that aggro's) you'll hit nashmau. if you hug the left you will hit either Talacca Cove (top left area of graveyard) or halvung (bottom left area of graveyard). In the graveyard you have 1-2 imps that will aggro 75 and are true sight, and at night, there are some skele's that will aggro 75 without sneak.
This is the route I take every time I do Einherjar (assuming we have candy in whitegate)
Good luck!

i am now 8 away from sucking more then every other fisher in the world lol. (i got a friend handing me 170 more later my god i hope i get it...)
Will you be happy or sad if you get it before the record?
1 shy of the record would suck. If you're going to fail at something, fail spectacularly.
haha I do not care anymore. I just want the item.
~_~ i could fake the fail! trade in the extra gugs after i get the item LOL
so is turning gugs and liks in on full moon considered blasphemy like directional crafting? I see quite a few successful gets here on full moon... Making me wonder if I should hoard until full moon
