Has anyone noticed if ebisu acts on gugras/liks/otherlegendaries like how lus acts on soles?

Also, I still have yet to figure out how the hell mooching works...

Do the two fish stay longer using the speical baits, and mooching just further enhances this? Or do they still act normal unless you have mooching AND special bait?

Or does mooching just make all fish stay on the line longer in general?

Also, has anyone ever caught a tricorn without frog fishing? I'm starting to think frog fishing is serpent rumours equivalent for tricorns...

Mooching increases the amount of time a fish will stay on the line.

This only works when using Drill Calamary or Dwarf Pugil as bait.

The special baits will have no effect of increased duration without mooching.

So I assume you fished some of these, didn't buy them ALL. How were your breaks?

I currently don't have woodworking on any of my accounts, and am debating making the mule to keep with me the whole time I do Ebisu...

^^ I fished about 600.

and my rates seemed to be about this
with 99 skill (and Lu) I think its something like:
20% break
30% line snaps
5% skill lose
45% you will get.

give or take but that seemed to be it. I would land 1/2 gugs. and the other would be random line snaps rod breaks and skill lose(very rare for skill lose)

I'm up in the air right now whether I want to buy a kraken or potentially dump 20m into ebisu, I'd be buying them all so I can ding into Ebisu at 78, I'm at 64 now. Just earn the Ebisu. With rare exception (cough Dejat cough) it's a rewarding quest and a nice goal to work towards.

Personally, I enjoy working towards things like that, though.

The only downside is I don't have WW, and have lolcooking on my main and 100 leather on my mule so that'd be a major stopping point. I have been considering turning 1 gug & 1 lik per day from my daily fishing profits. Seems like it may keep my sanity and still work towards the goal.

I was gonna do one per "In the belly" quest, but one per day isn't a bad idea...

I don't have woodworking either. Still debating what to do about that. I guess I could just level a mule to 65 and carry him on the ship with me...

At 71 WW I still take almost a whole stack of lightcrystals to patch lu shangs =/

I do howveer get at least .1~.2 of a level every time I fix it :D

Oh lol and I went Thf/BRD and did a song/dance for him every time I started to trade lol.

I will do the math right now:

lik Fished 160*880= +140,800
lik gil spent on 2*15,000-(1,760)= -28,240

gugs Fished 600*880= +528,000
gugs gil spent on 540*15,000-(478,720)=-7,621,280

140,800+528,000-28,240-7,621,280=-6,980,720
Oh ya i also did sell a kidney.

Fish go for 17,000 on my server(down from 20,000 like 2 weeks back) This is why you do not buy all the fish at the risk of getting unlucky like me. I lost about 7mil if i did buy all the fish off the AH it would of been 22,134,000 at 17k each. and if the price was to jump back up...26,040,000

All in all not THAT bad. If only 7mil was as bad as it got in this game^^;

^^ i found it to be rewarding. Pissed me off a little as i hit the 1000 mark, but then i was like "wow im trade more then anyone else!"
