not really. they dont really start slowing down till about 90 or so.

Up until that point I almost always got 2 lvls a day without pelican ring.

Pass me some of your leveling juju-mojo - when I fish for about 4-5 hours straight, i'll get MAYBE .3-.4 total skillup, with no ring. With ring, i'll get another .1-.4 on average.

I've always been horrid at getting skillup. In fact, even WITH ring on, i've gone 160+ skillup-able fish now without a skillup (and no, i'm not capped at guild level cap or anything) just not getting skillup is all.

gotta say though, since satchel, I LOVE Talacca cove much more than nashmau (strictly for the catch rate and addition of dil as a fish).

99.6 here i got 2 lik back to back .2 skill ups about 2 weeks back(or was it gugs >.> im so lost lol e rod made me go nuts)

That was the last skill up and I am still 99.6 ~_~ im sorta hoping i can get .4 off caves this weekend when i get the rod itself.

lol, been away for a bit, but really, CONGRATS dejet! That is some seriously hardcore shit there. I pray I dont end up in the same boat. I am working towards getting a second ring pair so I dont have to sit out a ride every 3-4 times.

I plan on keeping track on the number of fish it takes each skill level from 60-100 out of sheer curiosity. Here are my results so far

Just wanted to confirm with other ebisu fishers. I fished in talacca for the heck of it and ended up with 212 fish total. So it seems like ebisu does raise your daily fishing cap a little?

Hi I have a question about the pelican ring for the experienced fishermen out there. Around what level do you suggest I start putting it to use? I know during earlier levels fishing skillups are already fast so I don't need to waste the charges. But when do the skillups start slowing down enough that I should use it full time? Im using this route. I do have a Lu Shang rod already by the way.

Stage 1: Istiridye – istakoz 27-53

Stage 2: Mercanbaligi & Ahtapot 53-86

And obviously by 86 at least I'll be fulltiming. But what's the earliest I should start with it's use?

I just placed 21st in the Lik contest with a random lik I bought out of bazaar. Sucky.

Needless to say I don't have one yet, and just hit 86 fishing. So I guess, start using it after that?

No, not really. If at all, I started noticing it in the 80ish range. Grats on the sawfish!

I know it's not much but I've leveled from 11-20 in the last two days by riding the selbina-mhaura ferry, and I'm really starting to get into it.

I almost feel like I'm cheating because of how easy it is to make money off of nebs.

I just spent the last 2 weeks fishing up hundred of my Fish Ranking fish until yesterday evening. I thought I might have even finished in the top 3....but now I feel lucky to have finished 14th after seeing some of the numbers. And I made a decent amount of gil NPC'ing the rest of the fish. I was just so glad not to have to trip out to the Cascade anymore...

Until I see today's guild item: Gavial Fish
