Hi I have a question about the pelican ring for the experienced fishermen out there. Around what level do you suggest I start putting it to use? I know during earlier levels fishing skillups are already fast so I don't need to waste the charges. But when do the skillups start slowing down enough that I should use it full time? Im using this route. I do have a Lu Shang rod already by the way.

Found out something. Wiki is incorrect on Ca Cuong. I dont have a Lu Shangs and was just messing around trying to get a little gil. Not many choices without Shangs. Anyhow, Im fishing in Grauberg w/ Little worms and on my 3rd Ca Cuong I got a .2 skill up. I'm level 69 Fishing and wiki says they cap at 69 so thats incorrect. I dont have a screen but im also not a liar. Anyhow, for anyone looking for something to skill on i'll keep you posted on cap. At 69 i reel them in SLOW so I think they cap post 74 (<--- that's a guess)

Little worms also reel in Brass Loach/Black eel (black eel the most)

Cave Cherax are around 1.6-1.7k

It will take all day to fish ~150 Cave Cherax. Depending on your endurance, Talacca might still be the best choice.

Did anyone ever try fishing gugras on the manaclipper, apparently the trip between bibiki and purgo you can catch em, hows bite rate compared to open sea route?

0/22 on gugra now, wondering if I win tier 4 mog if I should get barbossas, ebisu, or money... D:

Pretty sure, yeah. Since you will need at least the Albatross Ring anyways, at most the Mooching will replace Penguin (or was it Pellican? I get them mixed up). Seeing as my actual catch per gug/lik bite is something around 25% (if even that), it would take ages of fishing up other 100 fish to get enough for all the fish that you will pull in. It doesnt even isolate the Gug or Lik (this is just sad), so you loose even more when you get a monster/item bite.

Really not worth the time.

I've never fished any myself, but with all the line breaks wouldn't you go through quite a few of the special lures?

This is why everyone just uses minnows and meatballs there is little to no reason to ever use the bait(although it seems some of the new fish SE puts out now use it the one fish that comes to mind is the one you can NPC for 25k a pop)

We then come to the same prob though you will not only get the fish you are after. So it is just a lose. I do wish SE would add something that made it worth the time. Most the bigger fish have no use as far as i can tell, they should put them into some craft use. Fucking hard to land fucking low bite rate, but the item it is used for is just to good to pass up.

there is nothing like this in fishing ~_~; but really i guess its because fish are cooked. but we are talking about big ass fish like the size of boats and crap i bet they could come up with some item to put it into lol.
