Just dinged 100 about 5min ago, only need my fucking opal silk for ebisu and ~1k moats for another lu's.(read: gilz for gear)
I keep seeing that Ahtapot supposedly sells for 1k to npc's somewhere. Is this true besides the fish guild npc?
far as I know the only place that will buy ahtapots and dil for 1k is the guild right after a maintenance, or if by some freak occurrence no one has sold any to the guild in a week or so
I post dil on the AH. 13k a stack is better then 9k. Depends if you are willing to wait for them to sell(they sell fast if there's not a lot of black soles on the AH
Happen to know a good way of fishing Mercan/Ahtapot in Nash without line breaks or rod breaks? I don't have Lu's.
No cooks even check Dil on Hades. I would post for like 1k less than Sole and not a single fish would sell. That and the fact that Sole prices are at rock bottom. Decided to finally start leveling a Cooking mule. Damn it is hard to deal with GP every day when you are crafting on four characters.
That's an easy question, get a Lu!
So many people think they can level all the way to 100 fishing without lus.
That's very true, there are ways, mind you its much slower. Here's a question for you though:
How does one make money on fishing at 100... without lu shangs? If you don't intend to get it don't bother leveling past 50 and stick to the ferry 3 and shells. You need lu shangs to profit on anything higher.
I figured, I've been making money off of Nebs and Shall Shells, was just curious if there were ways around it haha. 10k fish with fatigue...
well im happy. helped my 1st fisher get E rod ~_~; made 1mil doing it to.
It's worth it. I usually send 2-3 stacks of Dil a day to my cooking mule. Sell the HQ. Trade 2 stacks of sushi to friends for 1 stack of wasabi. Keep the rest. Still turn a profit and am able to pop sole sushi like it was meat jerky.
Cooking is relatively cheap and easy to get to teir1 for sole anyway.
So hey, long time reader but I've never posted.. I've been reading this thread for a long time and have been working on my fishing over the last few weeks. I'm at 53~ skill now, and have run out of things to easily skill up on. I did Nebs to 27 and Isods in Nashmau to 53 while working on GP. All the money from that has gone into buying moat carps for my Shangs and I'm 3300/10000 carps.
Carp stacks have been raised to like 5k a stack on Midgard thanks to some retards on the AH, so I was curious if anyone had some advice for how to work on my Lu shang's rod. I was thinking about starting carps every day for the 200 mark, but that still seems like it'll take me ages. I experimented with Noble Ladys on the ferry, but they where a really rare catch, I mostly got tuna on my line with a sinking minnow and halcyon. As someone who doesn't have a lot of money to begin with I'm not sure if it would be a better idea to keep fishing iso's for cash and buying stacks when I find them, or actually trying for carps.
Any advice master fishermen?![]()
