Is it normal to get five or more "You didn't catch anything." messages in a row in Nashmau? Sometimes I get a bunch of bites in a row, and then other times it seems like I'm getting about 2 fish out of every 10 casts. Is there some other anti-bot thing causing this that I need to avoid somehow? And no, it's not fatigue, I definitely haven't caught 200 fish today.

Sometimes Nash just plain sucks. I've been there since 27 and am now 77. I've tried taking note of moon phase, # of other fisherman but sometimes it will just be me with a crappy bite rate. When this happens I just go to talacca cove and come back later. I've returned hours later before after an event or afk and the zone seems back to normal. So in summary I know exactly what u mean but have no idea why. Go to talacca orqufim then come back later

I was wondering if that's a hidden effect of the testimonial or a fishing skill thing. I can confirm it works on non-ebisu rods (hume is faster depletion than ebisu for carps).

So can any of you newer fishers out there or mid-level fishers with testomonials confirm that it is a testimonial effect or a skill effect? it would satisfy my curiosity.

I got testimonial at fishing level 12 and tried using little worms with lu and was fishing up tons of crayfish.

Well I won't say tons, I only spent like 12-15 casts and after I got 3-4 crayfish I left. So it appears to be skill releated X_X

Nashmau can be very erratic. I have been there since lv 32 (currently 63)
I think moon phase plays an important role here.

what was the moonphase? anywhere around 40-60% can have devastating effects if you are way below the cap of the fish you're going after

Is there a chart somewhere that shows effects of the moon phase on fishing? I haven't really seen any outstanding effects other than one night of crazy bites on a full moon, but I am at least curious.

not really. i've just found personally that once it gets close to 50% my bite rate gets pretty horrendous

Same here. As per my personal experience, as close to 50% as it is, the worse bite rates you will have.

Same thing happened to me two days ago, so unless you're on Hades it (nobody else was fishing that I could see) it was probably Moon-related like people are suggesting.

So he had to buy them unless he has a 2nd account with fishing 78+(he is 77) and the key item (and he dont have it yet can not get the key item till 78 )

So yeah.. now I'm the guy everyone hates. Greg up there got his Saber shoot and when I logged in I bought all the Gugs he hadn't traded in yet and went 1/11 on Gugs.. Full moon ftw? When it happened I didn't even realize it, I was in the trade window for another Gug when I noticed it. So used to the "nope" messages (0/129 on lik atm)

To be honest, I really dont believe the whole moon to bite rate correlation. I seem to fluctuate between about 50% to 70% biterate in Talacca (usually 60-66%) and as far as I can tell it has nothing to do with the moon. Some of my fastest fishing days have been around 50% (when I checked it). Of course, I have also had very good fishing days during full moon. I definitely wait for Full Moon for trading to Zaldon though. Those are too precious to risk any other time (and I am superstitious after the luck I had on Lik's and other people's positive results during full mooon).

i hate fishing ever since i got my new powerhouse PC......

my fps is perma 29.1 even if i on 5 FFXI together.......................i can hardly reel in any ryugu now (like 1/5 only)

my wife using my old laptop and she can reel in 10/10 ryugu(including rod break and line break)....laptop fps is always 13-15

anyway to spike my powerhouse down? ._.

Last 2 night of fishing on the boat using halcyon and crayfish paste on them, ive oly been pulling them up at a rate of 3 or 4 a trip. rest have been no catches and !!!

am i just in a rut of bad luck or what?
