To be honest, I really dont believe the whole moon to bite rate correlation.

When I was fishing moats in rolanberry S or knightwell, with new/full moon 81-83% of my casts would end up as moats. Between 40-60 I would get more like 50%, never failed.

Also arthars, cpukiller may work for you, but it didn't for me, it just made it jerky. I use different program called cpugrab that works much better, can find it on google, or here is my copy: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/116047/cpugrab.exe

It doesn't support multicore, so you will probably have to set affinity to a single core in task manager and set it to high priority, then put pol.exe on the same core and above normal. I can get my game to a solid 12-13fps with this method. I'm able to fish up dil/ahtapot/mercan in talacca with fishing 29.

Also, I seem to be getting twice the skillup rate fishing in talacca with my now 32 fishing than I did in nashmau. And they are bigger skillups too, .2s and .3s. In nashmau I would get skillup about every 11-12 casts at level 23-28. In talacca i'm getting twice that. But it is taking me 3x as long to fish the fish up, I nearly run out of time quite a bit. Bite rate is worse too But the fish are worth 3x as much as istiridye, so I figure its about the same gil/hr(15-20?), just way more skillups, and I can pull in the 140k/day if I stay with it for however long... (9hrs lol?)

edit: ding fishing 33 @2:07PM. I have gone from 29-33 and i'm not even halfway done with fatigue.

I think Zaldon is broken for me, I've turned in 517 Liks, still nothing. Also turned in hundreds of marlins in the past weeks, no charts either.

As Dejet eluded to I bought them all. I actually had been saving for a kraken/acc gear for quite a long time for RNG when I got into fishing. I've had enough gil for a kraken, but will not go above 35m so no sale as of yet. While I was skilling up I realized how much I love fishing because of how it matches my more adult lifestyle living with a gf, 4 dogs including a puppy mastiff, full time job, coaching, etc. At that point I watched Dejet's horrendous trek and realized I need to be all in, or not go for ebisu at all since i have cooking on my main and 100+3 leather on my mule. At that point I decided I'd rather have an Ebisu than Kraken RNG and dove in head first. I was actually surprised at the lack of supply of liks/gugs on Odin, I bought a ton of backstock of Liks from fisherman but gugs took me awhile to acquire since obviously I couldn't fish them. Luckily through /shing every time I ran through whitegate I got hooked up with 2 fishermen Laftis and Dirac who have been 100 for years with Ebisu's. They kept supplying me Gugs for the going rate of 15k as often as they could fish them. I was basically just praying I went "average" so I can still eventually afford Kraken and not follow Dejet's footsteps lol. Anyways the math worked out like this:

Liks - 1/137
*15,000 (cost) = -2,055,000
*880 (return) = +120,560
Total cost = -1,934,440

Gugs - 1/177
*15,000 (cost) = -2,655,000
*880 (return) = +155,760
Total cost = -2,499,240

Total combined upfront cost = -4,433,680
Lu Shang value on Odin = +3,000,000
Total cost after Lu sale = -1,433,680

1.5m really is nothing when you consider I've made more than that npcing all the fish just from 60-77.

It wasn't Arthars that caught the Shark, it was the Taru in his party that caught the shark.

He got a skill up off a line snap, was most likely a Ryugu Titan.

i think its because my other luck has been decent.

LL i went 1/7(after this im like on rare/ex 0/30)
ODS KS30 I cant think of one time i did not get a claw,ring, or a cloth. ALways something has dropped worth my time.

things even out as far as luck goes in the long run i think. i just got hit all at once ~_~
