hm that's weird, have you tried cpukiller? it only works for me when you set it to use cpukiller 2 method in the options though. cpukiller 3 method just makes it jerky

Trying cpukiller 2 method right now, only at 2% slow down which seems weird. When I fired it up I put it at like 40% which is normally where I'd put the normal method and that basically locked the game up lol. 3% slow down made it choppy, 5% put it less than 10 FPS lol. I'm so frustrated, I've tried all the slow down methods/programs posted here and sadly it still can't compare to the POS laptop that is torture to use to pull up legendaries.

Ya, I was thinking about getting my old PS2 back from my parents since I donated it to them as a DVD player when I got a PS3. However, that implies I then need a tv since my gf who I live with have sort of a mutual agreement that I can play ffxi hours on end as long as she gets control of the TV. So, I sadly end up watching a lot of crappy tv, but at the same time I get to play so it works out lol.

I've "watched" entirely too much of HGTV and Bravo thanks to the amount I play FFXI. Mercifully, she also likes to read books.

I use both rings at 100 fishing with Ebisu and I still get the warning message for out of time sometimes. Regen is pretty high with Gugrusaurus.

Gugs suck, need both rings. Lik only need the one ring.(P chart one) its why I mostly aim for liks to sell. However I do go after gugs if for some reason that is all people are buying at the time.

I've managed to land a few Gugrusaurus on my own on the ferry between Mhaura and Aht Urghan Whitegate. Did it with JUST Albatross Ring too at 89 +4 fishing skill.

As for HOW I did it....lots of button tapping and trying to minimize mistakes. Also anticipating when the fish will change direction helps.

My PC is an old Dell desktop that I purchased back in 2002, 30 GB hard drive, 256 RAM (I upgraded to 512) and Pentium III processor (which was pimp back in 2002 LOL). It's also loaded with stuff, only have like, 2 GB free out of the 30 total GB available, which is probably slowing the game down enough for me to land some Gugs.

i always able to get 4th catch, 5th catch usually is up bbut not always able to open the box. i guess thats the luck

i just hope ring starts to appear at 3rd box because mobs kinda appear at high rate to stop me from opening the 4th box sometimes
