I do my Brigand's chart in group of three? If one of us fish up the pug, we'll hold it until all our charts are done. Give us more chance for 4th/5th box. I could get the 5th box up sometimes, but it vanish before I could put the pole away.

^ is what I was going to post. Try to find a couple other people with brig charts then just random and hope you don't hit the lowest and have to go first lol. Once the pug is fished up just have someone hold it until you're all done. I read somewhere the mob rages so you may need to zone it, then just reclaim as it waddles back.

Depends on what you plan on fishing. Liks/Gugs/Cherax seem to line break less when I have more skill and advanced support.

I plan on keeping mine. Fishing set will consist of Apron, Waders, Angler's gloves and legs, rings and then Rain Hat/Pullus Torque for looks.

I haven't decided if I should keep the Angler's Body and use it when I'm fishing Ebisu fish instead of Apron.

Any suggestions?

Has anyone tried to skill 87-91 off Emperor fish? Sort of discovered them today for GPs. I just bought mine off the AH since I'm lazy, but lsmate said he had a 50%ish bite rate using trout ball. I realize they dont stack, but sell a couple on the AH each day for 5k each then npc the rest for 600g.

May or may not be better than talacca since you're not trying to ignore mercs?

Emperor fish bite rate is a bit better than Cave Cherax, but it's not 50% bite rate in my experience.

I really do want to find a better spot then caves or the cove. Cove is just to little gil, and caves although great gil takes to long. The last 3 weeks i have been very lucky with gugs/lik buyers filling my days. making on avg 600k a day ~_~;

But that will run out and at that time I will start looking for better spots myself lol

If this is true 600gil is to low to be worth it at 120k only for the day. Need to be around 900 gil and a 30~50% bit rate to be better then cove id say. 180k in say 3-4hrs at that rate. so that be just fine with me for days i cant fish gugs or lik. or no one is after them.

I just bought one and tried trading to the npc in nash, 600g even for an emperor fish.

I'm sort of trying to plan my 87-90 and 90-100 since skill levels are flying so unexpectedly fast with pelican's ring. I'm pretty sure I'll just stick talacca to 90 and fish up whatever bites for profit. However for 90-100, I've seen a lot of people doing Ptersomethings in Nash and also Armored Pisces in Oldton, not sure the profit on those over time.

Ding 68 Fishing @_@ I do have a question as an aspiring Ebisu wanter... would it be a good idea to stop at 80ish, and fish Marlins with the intent of getting a Kris to sell for Liks/Gugs, or should I just spam til 100 with Lu and try and fish them on my own with it? Either option I'll be a month or so before I can even start the quest as I'm just now starting to collect GP today. >.< Opinions are appreciated!

if u have the gil, buying is better obviously

and buying 8 gugs per day is ok if your skilling up since you can easily get 100-150k per day

another idea to what u intend to do is fine as well, getting marlins for pirate chart, but i will recommend trying the brigand as well, get kris and sell for money to buy gugs. if you like it this way, do take note that kris drop rate is pretty low, i would say average of 1/10 since i have done this bc like a total of 40-50 times. However you can take advantage of brigand you got, get penguin and eventually have no problems at all in netting gugs

i got many feedbacks in this forum, stating that even at skill 100, lushang + albatross ring is not that reliable on gugs. so i would recommend you to try brigang chart bc as well if your doing the kris way

Pterygotus and Armored Pisces are both about 25% bite. Pisces NPC for more, but Pterygotus have a more convienient NPC to sell to, and you can also pull up Mercanbaligi to increase your gil/hr.

Alright, important question! I want to upgrade the RAM in my gfs laptop that I use to fish up Liks. Right now it's so horrendously slow it's unbearable to use for anything else. Minimizing a program, multi tasking, or opening programs takes at times 10-20 seconds to do. I will paste the exact specs below from an everest scan, but in short it has a 1.3ghz celeron with 256 mb of ram. Should I just double it to 512 or make the leap to 1 gig total? I'd love to upgrade to 1 gig but I'm afraid that will make it too fast and thus defeat the purpose of fishing up liks lol. Thoughts? Specs below

Question, what exactly is the self-lagging supposed to do? Is it supposed to like, slow down your animation, so that you stay on left/right longer? Cause whenever I try, even though my fps lowers, the "fishing animation" doesnt slow down, it just gets all choppy cause of the lag, still stays the same amount of time to the right and left, I think..

need to stop being lazy and try on my laptop but it's not like I've yet to fish anything that really needs it anyway so i'm ok. I tried it on ryugu titans while fishing for marlins, i've yet to be able to successfully pull up any, god I hate those bastards.

in other news, 1/6 mkris! fuck yeah

edit: also, liks are up to 20k on odin now =(

it kinda affects your fishing like a penguin ring

nothing is slowed down, but fish's stamina will deplete faster than usual.

but u cant be too laggy, else the system cannot register your "direction" and u may find it even harder to fight the fish

17-20 fps is the best i would say, for me at least

I wonder if it would work to just set your background resolution to something extreme like 4096x4096 (or higher, depending on your setup).
