Well I thought for people that like to know how long it takes to hit level 100 fishing, I'd post up my own skilling up results over the past few weeks. First row is the skill I have at the end of the day, second row is how much I increased by that day, third row is # of fish I pulled up that day, fourth row is # of charges on pelican that day, and 5th row is the type of fish I pulled up. For 23.9 to 53, I focused on Istiridyes, 53-86 on Merc/At, and 86-100 on a mix of Pterygotus, Cave Cherax and Armored Pisces.
It'll be a while... I've finished Einherjar, and I currently have 3 assaults a week and 3 Nyzul runs (I was a slacker and never got captain, boo). Then I hope to be doing 7 Nyzul a week to quickly finish those 150k tokens.
Been focusing on those fun "longer term" ones while I finished leveling alchemy/cooking/fishing and *hopefully* have some luck with Ebisu rod, then I have a plan to make as much gil as one man can make as fast as possible.
Sadly, 90mil in Alexandrite is still going to take forever. And Alex on Unicorn has been scarce lately. I'm starting to push for 1k Alex soon... then only 29k left to go!
But luckily I like having goals, I guess :X
Ding! 80.9 Fishing (fatigued a few fish after a 0.1) Do believe I'll stop for a bit and fish up 100~200 marlins for M Krises. JEALOUS RAGE at all Ebisu ppl.
Is it just my imagination or has anyone else noticed more Lik bites on thunder day or with thunder weather?
juliano did you have crescent fish or moats today?
Fish bite rates skyrocket on stormy/rainy weather.
Dunno about thundersday, but I did notice I got well over twice the hooks on liks when it was stormy.
First Pirate's chart, no M Kris. But 3 SMN was the easiest thing ever. Had fun, too.
Now to get Brigand's chart and figure that one out...
Fuck cheval salmon, why couldnt it have been blindfish
20416 in 5 daysone more crappy gp day and im fucked for sure
Small update: 1/372 on Lik.

I had one Lik left after turning in this batch. Methinks I'm going to fry it up into a Lik Kabob and put it in my bazaar as a trophy.
Woot congrats man! My lsmate is 0/402 now on liks, it's
made my 90-95 skilling incredibly profitable lol.
So hey, I've started getting into Marlin fishing and every once in a while something that doesn't stop moving pops up and gives me a hell of a time. So one of these said times I was determined to pull it in, and actually succeeded @57 skill to pull in a ryugu titan. (No Merc Sword QQ) but that was quite the obnoxious battle.
I was curious, the higher level your skill seems to make a lot of lower fish much easier to catch + kills the rod swing considerably, is this the same for things like Ryugu? I can't imagine consistantly landing this fish, tho I am only 57 w/ Lu's. At 90+ with the proper setup do fish like these get less uh.. "wavey-crazy" with the rod? I imagine this fish acts similar to Lik/Gug - would I be correct in this hypothesis?
Also: I tried the cpu killer and it definitely didn't seem to do much for me, perhaps (as they say) I may be doing it wrong? Also, I tap fish - quite rapidly from growing up in the arcades! - should one tap a little less feverishly?
Thanks.
Ryugu's are possible to be brought in at quite a low level actually, with Lu shangs, but you risk the chance of breaking it. I caught my first Ryugu tap fishing at about lvl 50ish, pirates were attacking which gave me nice lag too. They deplete so fast, that if you get lucky on a few of your taps, or they stay one direction either left or right for a bit, you can bring them in. Once you deplete them, its a coin toss on whether you'll get the catch, or break line/rod.
Yea, skill 68.5 here, both ebisu items, got 79K GP but just need skillup.

wooohooo!
1/??? who knows, but not that many, i estimate 1/~100. I spent like 3.8mil or so on liks and gugru, more on gugru i think. lik for 20k and gugru for 23 so i think it should be around 1/100 perhaps, so that means i'm lucky on the lik =D!!!!!!
