Bahamut's Hose Kick Attack proc

I'm aware that Kick Attacks only proc for h2h, but I'm curious if Kick Attack gear follows the same rules. Can anyone confirm that Bahamut's Hose is h2h only? Trying to decide if I should change my Bv2 lotting or not D:

kicks wouldnt be worth a shit w/o h2h anyway, the dmg is based off h2h skill+kick boots (dunes). pretty worthless other than for a mnk w/o af2 hose or a pup with dune boots.

Not only do you need h2h equipped, but I THINK that you need martial arts trait. This isn't based off of extensive testing, but one time as RDM/something not MNK or PUP I was punching stuff with hose on and didn't get any kicks for a while.

Nah, you don't need Martial Arts. I've been gradually unlocking my Destroyers as BST/NIN so my MNK can ding into them, and for the hell of it, I sometimes put on my Strike Subligar and Dune Boots. Kicks would happen, but they were rare, as the piece only gives Kick Attacks +3.
