Problem re-questing AF hands

Timeline:

- RNG, THF AF complete
- obtained RNG AF+1 hands
- reset RNG AF memory
- completed RNG AF1 (bow)
- started RNG AF2 (hat)
- talked to Guslam (and maybe old box?)
- picked Garlaige coffer (as THF) for old gauntlets, killed DS, talked to old box, re-obtained RNG AF hands
- obtained RNG AF+1 pants
- opened Nest coffer (as RNG), obtained RNG AF pants
- obtained THF AF+1 gloves
- reset THF AF memory
- dropped AF knife, completed THF AF1 (knife)
- dropped AF hat, completed THF AF2 (hat)
- started THF AF3
- picked Monastic coffer (THF hands) as THF, got gils
- talked to Guslam multiple times, he said "grats on phat lewtz!" but nothing new
- talked to old box, nothing

How do I get the old gauntlets from Monastic Cavern?

stupid question, but are you talking to guslam on rng or thf ?

hmmm.. after reading all this several times, and getting confused several times, end result is its obvious your not flagged for thf af in monastic. check your active quest log. should be able to figure out what your flagged for, because if you erased your memory, he should be giving you the quest for the thf hands if you talk to him on thf.
