Re: To All WHM's with Gullintani-Mjollnir Club

I hope it's not of a royal knight's chainmail etc wearing war/nin and so on It makes no sense no matter how good the haste gear a whitemage has access to is. Go ahead and post the parses and if you can the equipment they were wearing.

I can't fathom a whm melee coming close to a dedicated DD on anything xp, the Body/Legs/Feet/Hands/Back slots look pretty sad from the quick peek I took so you've only got neck/waist/fingers for attack/acc if you are stacking haste in the other places where there just isn't anything good.

And it's not just equimpent that's lacking, no whm specific ja/jt's either to boost damage like war has zerk, double attack, warcry and so on.

Once again, posting with no insight.

The WAR's are general AH WAR with Hauberk, maneater, suppa, haidate, etc. Just because you are a WAR, doesn't mean you automatically do damage.

I've PT'ed with a decked out WAR, and a AH WAR, and the parse went 50% (good WAR) 30% (me) 20% (AH WAR)

    Gear makes a big difference.

Big enough to deal 50% more damage than an AH WAR ? As much as I like the idea of everyone getting their relic weapon, may they be tanks, DD or mages, I find your statement kinda hard to believe (the one I bolded above).

Which raises the question, what is a relic wielding melee decked WHM doing with a shitty WAR in party?.

It's really easy. They have NQ rings, eat crap food, have little to no hectacomb for WS. Both of you are making these statements, "I highly doubt <insert statement here>" when what you're saying are exactly that, doubts. You have never seen a WHM melee that isn't an allatard, so all you have are your doubts. I'm just asking you to actually watch a GOOD WHM melee and make your decision from there.

I apologize it's true I have near zero experience with a Whm DD in anything other than random meleeing of stuff, a non-Ridill but otherwise pimped to the Gil(l)s War will not be parsing 150% higher than a AH war unless that other war was afk or just plain doesn't know how to maximize his potential (or even close to it from what you mentioned).

Unless the mediocre AH War is meleeing in str or dex rings while /nin with 1h axes and wearing stinky gear in general, *edit* or was the designated tank recasting utsusemi very frequently gimping his damage. In this particular scenario it's more likely though that the 50% damage war actually would have been even higher. *end edit*

or.... you can post parse results to back up your statement it's really not that hard.

Edit: Not calling you a liar but Either that War was afk most of the time and never used Berzerk/agg or completely retarded. Maybe both thats why a Parse would clear alot of questions

I'd like to see the results too. Personally I thought the topic starting thoughts were good reasonable points. Relics SHOULD enhance the person's job. Think ppl would drool over GHorn if it had melee stats and no +2 to all songs? I don't even know why a real whm would have a problem with this. Millions of gil and an enormous amount of time for you and others (depending on if your ls if helping you) for something you'll never use in any of your ls's events. And I'm refering you to playing your job to it's fulliest and not toying around. Sorry I'll take a 100k templar mace which takes seconds to buy.

Or, someone new to the community with 40- posts could maybe be a bit more respectful. I'll post parse results to humor you however:

    http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/4296/parse1pb4.jpg

    http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5190/parse2zn2.jpg

and to humor you again, here's a parse against 2 of the most decked out players on Phoenix so you can see how bad I got crushed, and to also prove to you that gear makes a HUGE difference:

    http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/6348/parse3qh0.jpg

All these were done before I even had any club merits, so technically they would even be a bit better now. Also, with relic WS giving me +accuracy, my accuracy would be a lot better than 70-75% lol. But you see what I'm getting at.

*EDIT* sorry for the MS paint compression, I'm at work and I had to use mspaint to cut the parses Q_Q.

Re: To All WHM's with Gullintani-Mjollnir Club

    1st parse
Drk/Sam - Decent Gear but only 75% hit rate? not sure if that's normal but it sounds about 10-15% on the low side

    2nd parse
nin/war - should be above 90% acc for "decked" status especially since most of us use Sole Sushi, being at 79% makes me think ok Nin
war/nin - see above unless maybe axe/ridill but then he should be a few notches higher on the dps scale?
rng/nin - dunno, not a rng but 74% acc seems lowish

    3rd parse
whm/??? - dunno 72% acc is kinda sad if you are /nin
    nin/war - see comment for 2nd parse nin/war
sam/rng - 92% acc, now we are talking!
drk/sam - 92% acc, now we are talking!

Basically only the 3rd parse really "counts" (in my eyes) as what a average AH player should look like with a brd&rdm pt where people know what they are doing and are putting some effort into playing and that's the one you come up as 14.5% of the damage compared to the 37% and 32% respectively.

If your melee's aren't doing at a minimum 85% acc something's wrong with the mechanics of the pt and either they need to switch to sushi or the bard needs to sing acc song / att song instead of march / att song.

the point of posting the parses wasnt for me to show you I was jesus christ with a club, it was to show you that jobs with mediocre gear really arent that hard to outparse, and I think i've showed that.

Lol? Post count don't mean Dick. It doesn't give you a free pass to spew off things without facts to back them off. Sorry if i dont meet your quota of posting in the spam forums about how pissed off I am that a morbidly obese women was sitting next me to whistleing Dixie with her nose.

Back on topic: well we are at a crossroads here cause the only thing that parse is proof of is that the AH War sucked which you admitted to your self. So you want some sort of Validation from the BG community that meleing as whm is ok? why are you getting so worked up about it?

No, I don't need validation. The people in this community have respected the fact that I'm upgrading club for fun, and generally toss jokes from time to time.

P.S. the spam forum doesn't increase your post count.

Wouldn't the one getting worked up be you? You're the one DEMANDING PARSE RESULTS!!!!!!1

I'd 100% agree with Sylphet, Since I got Gjallarhorn, LS events are smoother, easier, faster. I'd go one step further in saying that all mages got a great relic, that being Gjallarhorn. Its not like Gjallarhorn does much of anything for the BRD, unlike all other relics. Your BLMs, WHMs, RDMs, SMNs, PLDs will all be estatic tho when they are getting Ballad+2, So IMO I really consider Gjallarhorn the mages relic since its helps them the most. For the BRD tho, G-horn has Added effect: the rest of your jobs gather dust...

I was never worked up. I simply wanted to see if you had facts to back up the claim that you outparsed a AH WAR. you ended up proving that you outparsed a Crappy War.

The real question is who would win in the following scenerio; A pimped out brd w/max merits and Mandau or eqivilently pimped out whm with mjollnir asumming of course that they dont have to do thier main purpose and just there for DD'n
