Ironically when I get to Before I Forget on career I can't fucking beat it. Fuck. Misterbob you said you could pick TtFaF on online? I never saw it on the list when I played. Guessing you have to beat it first? Maybe I can do it tomorrow when I can feel my left arm. /sigh

If it won't connect, it just means you aren't timing that stupid connect option right. When I first got my 360, I thought my wireless controller was broken for this same reason.



Thestalkmore, there is no real secret. I assume you're failing on the ridiculous descending scales? Make sure you have star power, and abuse the hell out of the new easy HO/PO system. Only strum when you absolutely need to. Other than that, just practice I guess

I actually had more problems with Raining Blood when I didn't strum enough. Whenever I actually spammed it on the endless descending scales, I didn't even get into the yellow. I'm pretty sure my problem was missing one note somewhere and then end up missing a shit load of notes because I didn't strum.

So my advice is the exact opposite of Bobs I guess. But of course, save the star power for that part, I suggest starting over until you get both of the SP phrases and are ready for the scales of doom.

I can't stop playing Cliffs of Dover, and that Superbus song has been stuck in my head since Sunday morning.

I'm playing through Hard mode to unlock the songs easily before I move onto Expert, and from playing a couple Expert songs the learning curve is absurd ;x. Seriously, I played One on Expert and failed as soon as the fast part began, but beat it on Hard without dropping into yellow.

It seems a lot steeper this time than in Guitar Hero 2, that's for sure. I haven't gotten a chance to play extensively yet (stupid midterms), but as soon as they're over I'm all in.

(Also, what's with the insane difficulty range? I played Mississippi Queen and missed two notes my first playthrough, and then tried Raining Blood and couldn't make it past those scales without star power ._.)

Mississippi Queen is in the second or third setlist, meaning its easy. The last set list is supposed to drive you nuts.

The difficulty ramp from tier 7 to tier 8 is very very large. In hard, I now have 5* on everything except Knights of Cydonia and all 4 tier-8 songs, and 2 of the 4 I barely survive, let alone put up solid 5* numbers.

On another note, does anybody know if there is a way to get Cooperative mode songs on the Quickplay setlist? "Monster" by Matchbook Romance keeps playing the title screen and it drives me crazy because I can't play it unless i go buy another Guitar and have my sister play with me -.-

Yeah it's kind of retarded... They jump from so easy you can do it with your eyes closed to "oh my god, my ass, why is this penetrating me in the ass?" in one section...

You could always have her use a normal controller on easy, but itll take a while to unlock that song, since its the final Co-Op encore.

Your only other option really is to use the Unlock All Cheat, but be aware that this cannot be undone....



I wish they had online Co-Op career...luckily one of my roomates is also a GH junkie and plays on Hard very well, so hopefully I'll have these songs unlocked soon.



Oh, and if you're REALLY desperate to try out Monsters, just do Pro Face Off online, all the songs including the Co-Op encores are available from the get-go when playing online.

anyone know if its possible to play the battle songs like the one vs lou on quick play? I can't find any of em. They only available through co-op?

You gotta go back to career mode and do the battle again, can't play it otherwise unless you are doing cooperative.

I just got 322k on One - Expert, 91% of the notes hit and I thought I was gonna get a 5 star but NO...still 4. I hate my life.

Go to more stats and you can see how close your are by checking your Average Multiplier.
2.8x = 5 Stars...

322k is like 2.3x, you've got a ways to go
