anyone having issues through the wireless (i'm on the wii) where it sometimes doesn't register notes or HO/PO's that you are 100% sure you are hitting?
I don't think it's a lag calibration thing as it doesn't happen all the time, i changed the batteries and that didn't really help.
I've been doing that, his meter doesn't move, he doesn't strum at all, and he's impossible to beat.Originally Posted by LinktheDeme
Edit: Restarted Wii a few times and it eventually got fixed.
Yes happens on my Wii also. Can you not view leaderboards either also?Originally Posted by Skyylya
I've only tried to view them once but yeah that has happened.Originally Posted by Royal
Hope you get Whammy Bar power on your first one, use it when he has a shit load of greens in a row (Should be shortly after you get the first Power), he fails in 2 seconds. If I didn't get Whammy Bar, I just restarted the song because it gets a lot harder imo to keep up with the song while trying to put it in Lou's butt at the same time.
Cliffs of Dover 5-star!
One should be coming soon, but I fear Raining Blood...
I finally beat Dover on expert tonight, and then replayed it 3 times. That song is so fucking fun!
Fuck slayer, I don't think I'll ever beat it. The part at 34% is just to fucking annoying. Maybe changing the speed to a lower level would help?
finally beat it....on hard, can 4 or 5 star most of the songs on first time through, but the last setlist is tough. Took me like 10 times to be raining blood. I suck at doing scales in this game. most of these songs I can play better on a real guitar than on the wii-guitar![]()
I second the POIDH notion.Originally Posted by Arelian
I'm experiencing that on 360 as well, and I really, really despise having this game's over-abundance of HO/PO on every damn song. =/Originally Posted by Skyylya
Finally got a copy (wooo!) and am having problems with this as well. Gonna try on a non-HD TV later because Lay Down is not hard enough for me to be doing this badly.Originally Posted by Selamis
Raining Blood and One on Expert are kicking my ass, hard. I can't even come close to Raining Blood's 34% spider-crawl with SP active, and the Fast Solo on One destroys me as well. Both with SP active.
And unlike some songs (Dover), after you beat that part the rest of the song is still hard as fuck -- hi2u Fast Solo B.
I can get up to like...80% notes hit on Slow in practice mode for Raining Blood, so maybe if I practice for 15-30 minutes a day I'll slowly get it but a hugeat these songs.
took me like 10 tries to even beat raining blood on hard.
I absolutely suck at doing scales in this game. 10x harder than playing the real guitar for sure. for me anyway.
I just started hard up, not doing so hot some songs i barley make it through. 3 starred everything just beat slash / encore. Any songs you all think would help to practice for the rapefest of next few set lists. Or just keep playing them untill i win type deal? I really suck at hard -.-
When I get stuck, I go back 3-4 sets and try to play for score, it always seems to help.Originally Posted by Mufferino
I'm on Wii and I typically have to turn the guitar vertical to activate SP as well. That's for both standing and sitting.Originally Posted by aurik
I haven't had any problems with it. At least that I've noticed.Originally Posted by Skyylya
And like everyone else, fk Raining Blood![]()
Also: Since I'm new to GH, is there a certain way to position your fingers on the frets to make it easier for hitting the notes? I'm currently working on Medium, so it'll be awhile before I need to use Orange if that matters.
I freaking love the SP activation for the wii version. I can hold it any way I want and it won't activate until I give it a nice flick. I can even slowly twist my body to the right and lean back a little if I want, but pretty much, because of the acceleramator thingy or whatever it's called in the wii, it never activates early.
It's probably personal preference but for me I tend to put my fingers on the red, yellow, blue and orange frets. If theres a hard PO coming (like orange->blue->yellow->repeat) I don't use my pinky but slide my fingers one fret to the right. Same goes for the other side if I get a hard PO coming (like yellow->red->green->repeat) I slide my fingers one fret to the left.Originally Posted by Tomiko
Basicly I try to avoid using my pinky or using 1 finger for 2 notes![]()
