Don't think so, unfortunately. If I'm wrong someone let me know how to unlock it because I agree it's an awesome song.Originally Posted by Po

Practice practice practice. Especially if you initially learned by only downstrumming, alt-strumming takes practice to get right. I'm still just getting better at it.Originally Posted by Saga
Also hyperspeed 2 can help you get the timing down. You're probably overstrumming, which was my problem, which went away very quickly once I set hyperspeed and could actually see the individual notes again instead of a big green blob.
yeah, im pretty sure im overstrumming, especially when i jump to a different note, i think i always come off the previous set of 32nds with a couple extra strums, it's frustrating.Originally Posted by aurik

That is a big flaw. So far for me... GH2 > GH3
But 3 is still worth it just for the sake of that amazing Les Paul guitar.
Here's to hoping they realize their retardation and release DWDtG as DLC.Originally Posted by Po
They already have. About 24 hours ago the 3 battle songs (along with a few new songs) "mysteriously" appeared on the Xbox Live Leaderboards, which means theyll be coming soon as DLC.Originally Posted by aurik
Great way to cash in there guys. Don't allow us to play the battle songs in quick play after we beat them, but instead pay 5 dollars!
God I love the way Microsoft handles these micro transactions.
At least XBLive! is already established, I'm going to be pissed that I can't do a quickplay co-op when I get the Wii version just because the developers only thought of it a day after it gets bloody released, with the 360 being the only machine capable of game-specific updates last I checked.
Yes there are good features, but you are telling me charging whatever they will (most likely $5) isn't an obvious cash in when it was a clear no brainer to include those to play after you beat the battle.
If they really see it as a mistake they would change that in a title update, rather than charging for it ffs.
I doubt they see it as a mistake.
I almost beat the spidercrawl section of raining blood, and I didn't have SP. Now my arm is so tired I can't even get into the section with SP.
At least every day I'm getting better, with only 15-30 minutes of practice a day.
Yeah, its the whole muscle memory thing. I can practice something really tough, and feel like I'm making no progress, but the next day after class when I play, the practice has paid off and I'm much better at the spot than I was the day beforeOriginally Posted by aurik
yeah same thing happened with that tenacious D song i failed on half a dozen times last night. went into practice, still failed, woke up the next morning and one-shot it before i went off to class.Originally Posted by MisterBob
idk if this is weird or not or indicative of something, but whenever i imagine songs in my head, the colors are NEVER in their correct places...i have yellow notes where red actually is, blue notes where yellow really is, sometimes orange where red is, green's usually okay...sometimes blue is way over where orange actually is. point being i dont imagine the actual colors, so does that mean i basically just assign notes to fingers in my head and play solely like that? i mean i know everyone does that, but for me to have practically no color association when im just goofing around with songs in my head is bizarre. unless i try really hard, otherwise i never imagine the correct color configuration.
I think Knights of Cydonia is harder on Hard than on Expert because some of the long strings of notes aren't piled on top of each other like they are on Expert...Meaning you kind of have to time when you strum, albeit really fast still. On Expert you can just wail on the Strum Bar and once you get comfortable doing that, you can hit insane streaks on the opening part. I also found that my hand would get tired on the first half of the song from strumming, at which time I would just open palm the strum bar and rub it up and down really fast basically. It's not really as effective as just getting used to the insanely fast strumming, but if can give your hand a much needed break as you have to prepare for the rest of the song which isn't exactly easy either.Originally Posted by Saga
I think Knights of Cydonia is one the harder songs to 5 Star on Expert for me, I just get so tired and sloppy by the second part of the song. The chart is pretty simple toward the end but I end up missing a note every couple seconds. I haven't five starred Raining Blood, Number of the Beast or Knight's of Cydonia on the setlist yet. ><
yeah, well...5-starring anything is tough for me, lol. although i did manage to 5-star Bulls on Parade, When We Were Young, and Sunshine of Your Love (which was lolwtf easy). got 94% notes hit on Barracuda but still snagged a 4-star, that was stupid. stuck on the last setlist now, holy fucking shit.....raining blood, cliffs of dover and one are all just lolworthy...forget the fourth one but that was incredibly hard too. so yeah, pretty much all of them. looks like ill be sitting in practice mode for each song till i beat it, then give Lou a crack like 20 times.
GH3 is guiltier than GH2 at making stupid alterations to strum timings at lower difficulties. I FC'd Slow Ride after 2 tries on Expert but it took me ~5 tries on Easy because of some of the off-tempo strums they just threw in there for shits and giggles to break your FC.
I can now (relatively) consistently pass TTFAF intro, now if only i didn't make stupid mistakes later in the song, current record is 81% >_> whee
also, I totally found expert on this to be easier than expert on GH2 :/ maybe cause i know how to play?
Woot I now have all of Medium through tier 6 5 starred, and only have 6 total left to go. 5 starred Cliffs of Dover and Slipknot in 7 and 8.
Don't know if I'll get it though. lol
It is a lot easier on this one because the HO and PO's are improved. You still have to know how to use them correctly though, which is the downfall of many players who fail One, Cliffs of Dover, Raining Blood and maybe even Cult of Personality.
Probably, lol. Nothing like a year+ of playing GH2 to train you to play GH3.Originally Posted by Siniroth
I beat TTFAF on Hard last night and got a multiplier of exactly 1.000, rofl.
