Looks like a great song listCan't wait to play this!
I can't remember, will the 360 version have a wireless guitar?

yes, using native wireless too.
the ps3* has a usb plugin for wireless and the wii hooks the wiimote into it for wireless.
For the 360, you mean one of those dangle things?
I really can't wait to play against slash, although welcome to the jungle isn't the most technically challenging GnR song, i'd have gone with paradise city if it were my choice. Slash tears it up in that song the whole way through.
also can't wait to play One, that song is epicly long and has some awesome solo's in it. (I can't wait for co-op in that song cause there are a couple parts where kirk and james play a solo in harmony, i hope they incorporate that)
ps3 has a usb dangle, 360 does not, it uses native wireless
heh I see you edited your post, that is why I had gotten confused![]()
yea i saw that haha, guess i just had 360 on the mind for some reason =/
im getting the ps3 one, kinda disappointed that the ps3 isnt using bluetooth but oh well. at least it has the downloaded content as well.
I have both XBOX 360 and PS3, which platform should I get it for? They're basically going to be identical, right? No discrepancy in downloadable content or anything? And how many of you actually trust a wireless guitar to function properly? Frankly I'm scared some of my strums won't get in because wireless technology is so touch and go.
ps3 will probably lag behind on downloadable content they said. that being said, 360 will have achievements and the better online system as well, making it the better allaround game.
personally i have a ps3 and that's what im buying it for XD
kinda disappointed to find out that the ps3 controller wont work for the GH1/2 on the ps2 if you play them on the ps3 tho![]()
I thought someone said there'd be coheed on this one or something. Oh well... In Flames and Bloc Party are kind of cool to see. Maybe I'll get this as my first guitar hero (never really appealed to me before despite all the hype it got).
I'd say the 360 version is the way to go. It will be more reliable for DLC as well as the achievements of course.
Also, if you have the GH2 360 controller I am pretty sure that will work with this one as well for local multiplayer.

It may have something to do with the visual quality of the PS3 iteration of Guitar Hero III. While the scrolling notes actually looked better and brighter on Sony's system, the crowd and band most certainly did not. During the intro to songs in many venues, the camera zooms through the crowd up to the stage. On PS3, this gives you an up-close look at the jaggy models that don't come close to living up to the 360 counterparts. Perhaps a last bit of polish has yet to been put on the PS3 version, and the game is all about the music, but it doesn't seem like there would be any reason that the PS3 iteration shouldn't look as good as the Xbox 360 one.
But I'd get the version with the most friends (who play GH3) on that particular network.
i never quite got that, people actually care what the fans look like in this game?![]()
If you're like Keno and can choose, why not go for the better one?Originally Posted by izembo

Well, that was the only thing listed as being different aside from the usual achievements, and live reasons but Keno already knows that. If all things are equal, why not go for the better crowd, but like I said, I'd go where my friends who play GH would go even if it's the Wii with that stupid game specific code crap.Originally Posted by izembo
yea, realistacally i'd go where more people have the game, although with no download content on the wii i'd go ps3/360 ;p
