Ah cool. Anyone have any ideas as to what you get for the 5* guitar on hard, or any of the co-op difficulties?

For easy you get a Bat guitar and for medium you get a skull and crossbones type thing with a parrot on the top.

Any one else know of any of the unlockables?

5* hard is a Samurai Sword/Hat I believe.

Completing Expert Co-Op is a Pendulum (the type used in executing people)

Oh so you unlock stuff just for completes on expert? Awesome, I thought it was 5*s as well.

I need to find out when they will be selling single guitars for the wii...

how does one unlock the god of rock? and what do you get once you beat hard?

God of Rock is just bought from the store, but is 360/PS3 only.

(PS2/Wii have Metalhead and Elroy Budvis, while 360/PS3 have God of Rock and Grim Ripper)


Beating hard gives you a Tiki guitar or something.

Bob, do you know a site where you can find a compilation of the unlockables for wii? Gamefaqs has it for GH2, but not 3 yet.

Also, do you have any tips for the second half of knights of cydonia on hard (the triplets) besides practice practice practice? I can full combo the first part easily, but as soon as it gets do the 'backward' moving triplets I have to struggle to pass.

the trick there (and any of the HOs and POs) is just not individualizing the notes. practice those pull offs - you can hold down all three of those notes, i think it's orange/blue/yellow in that order for the first descending set of notes, and it just registers the highest note you're holding. and just pull off orange to blue, pull off blue to yellow, when it goes back to orange press all 3 keys again (your finger can hold down yellow the whole time), pull off orange to blue, blue to yellow, etc. repeat for each of the sets of triplets. but that bottom note never has to be let go, so really you're just worrying about 2 fingers which makes it a lot easier.

Yeah I've tried that over and over, but for some reason whenever I do it that way I ALWAYS end up releasing both fingers at the same time, instead of one after the other.

Oh well I guess it just takes practice. Gah, this reminds me of me DDR days.

Oh also, for the notes at the end, after the solo. They always give me trouble for some reason even though it should be a joke. I do not alt strum those sections. Is that my problem? Usually I only alt strum on the fun fast parts (like the part earlier in the song, you know which one).

Ugh I'm thinking I shouldn't have jumped into the game starting on medium and then moved to hard after just a few songs. I'm great at music games in general because of years of ddr, but to really excel at them I guess I should go back and learn the basics =D

naw, if you're on set 7 you're fine on hard. cant remember offhand the part you're talking about but it's definately worth a try alt strumming some of the last parts. sometimes i try normal strumming when the part is really 10 times easier alt strumming it, like on Barracuda. not that fast, but it's so much easier to hit those notes consistently when you alt strum.

Yeah I suppose you're right. I can alt strum the odd fast parts on Barracuda easily. The problem is when I try to not alt strum things like the ending on Knights I can't get the timing down, and when I try to alt strum it I end up going wayyyy too fast.

Oh well practice practice. Thanks for the advice.

I got past the flaming cascades of death on One today, only to get gutted by the ensuing solo at 82%

But at least I'm getting better!

nice job aurik, you'll get there :D i got through One and Number of the Beast just now....one-shotted both, lol fucking crazy how your brain works sometimes. nailed a lot of the solos on One and managed to guess a lot of Maiden's solos correctly so that was cool. got 200k on Maiden and 164k on One. just Raining Blood left, then Lou...phew this is madness.

I can't even get better than 75% on slayer on easy mode.

But I never played the first 2 and only ha 3 for a few days now...so hopefully I'll get better haha

Boss Battle Pack DLC has been released for FREE on the 360. Not on the PS3 yet though.


Devil Went Down to Georgia is nearly on par with Through the Fire and Flames, took a couple tries to nail that one down, but its a blast.
