dumb question, but since I'm getting a 360 figured I'd ask. is the DLC available forever? like if i dont set up the system until Tuesday when i fly home for break will any of the past content be available for download? or is there a time limit on it?

Messages, Slither, All My Life and The Pretender...Four awesome songs (Including 2 others) are available for purchase on X-Box Live...5 Starred all of them. Messages is beautiful.

Mmm, wasn't expecting Devil Went Down to Georgia to be as challenging as it is. Nice to have these songs though for free, that's really cool. And yes, Messages is a great song, first time I had ever heard it since I still need to pick up Velvet Revolver's second cd...

It's viral. If you beat someone with the achievement, you get the achievement. Now, anyone that beats you will unlock that achievement if they haven't already.

god I hate the assholes that pick the hardest songs for coop... this one guy picked One and TTFAF, I did awesome on One until that stupid solo part where I always fuck up and lose (the one with the 3 notes extremely close together that gets repeated to infinity and back.. orange/yellow/blue i think) and lost... I did finish TTFAF on Hard though, which is the first time I've actually tried TTFAF on anything higher than Medium.. >.>

but FFS, why can't I get that solo part on One? it's just frustrating.

The solo on One is insanely fast, and is probably in the top 10 most difficult sections of any GH game. If you cant get it, just strum every 3 notes to make sure you arent getting massively penalized for any screwups. If you do that you should be able to survive it without star power. Just make sure to strum on the beat, otherwise you're going to just hurt yourself even more.

I decided I'd bite and get GH3 today (My first guitar hero).

Even on easy mode, I have trouble, well, in with the "advanced techniques" as the game put them in tutorial mode, but it's alot of fun. how do you play Online coop mode on Xbox anyways...can't find the option.

it's not playing a co-op campaign or anything like it is if you have someone there, its playing either a 1,3,5, or 7 set with someone in coop. just go to host a match and change the match type to co-op to play it.

Can't beat DWDTG on hard...only song I can't beat on hard lol. I'm sure with some practice I'll learn the solos and it won't be so bad. Still haven't beat One/RB on Expert...those, the new DLC, and 4 bonus songs are the only songs I haven't beat yet.

I still can't beat One... why is that solo part so freakishly insane ffs >.< I 5 star EVERYTHING up until that last set... I also 5star Cliffs of Dover, but holy shit @ the other 3 in that last set. ;; I do perfect until the solo parts, then I get raped in about 10 seconds and lose (even with star power lol.. and i'm pretty good at po/hos, the ones in those songs are just too damn fast though, and I don't get the technique.)

Also for alt strumming, do you only use it for the really close notes? (like 10 green notes in a row really tied together) if so, is it just practice that will help me nail all those notes instead of missing one here and there and breaking my combo, or am I doing something wrong? (when I strum normally I use the back of my index finger, well the nail, and have the thumb supporting it so I can hit a lot of fast notes too, but I usually miss a lot of those.. when I try to alt strum I use the index and thumb and move it up/down but I hear the sound that it makes when you mess up over and over when I try doing that so i'm assuming i'm going too fast heh..)
