How fast do you have to strum that part near the beginning? I was going as fast as I could and it wasn't fast enough apparently.

As fast as I can. Nobody has been able to FC that part, so dont worry too much about it and just survive.

holy shit, finally beat Lou on Hard lol... I was so happy when I saw the "now finish him" sign cus it's so easy from there on lol.

When I beat him, I put down the guitar thinking it was over like the other battles. Then the other part started and the guitar was on the ground and song failed in like 3 seconds.

The only thing I said...

"FUCK"

I almost did that, it took me like seriously, 40 tries to beat lou on just hard....and when i finally beat him i was so relieved i dropped the guitar and went to grab a drink and all of a sudden saw more notes coming, i like dove on the floor and grabbed teh guitar in the nick of time so i didn't lose it.

Question, I just bought a 32" HDTV (god it makes a fucking WORLD of difference from the previous tv i had), but it has HORRIBLE lag with this game...Calibrating, does nothing to fix the lag...and I tried the 33ms that people have been suggesting on the forums, and its slightly better, but the sound is still off...any other way I can fix it?

Same thing happened to me when I went to my friends house. I put it at 117 and it worked fine >.>

So apparently you can sue someone if you give them the rights to produce a cover version of your song, and they do a good job:

How incredibly fucking stupid. They're getting free publicity by letting Activision include their song (albeit as a cover) in Guitar Hero 3, yet apparently they think they should get part of the profit from it too because the cover sounds "too close" to the actual song.

I finally got GH3 and I am horribly disappointed at this game.

Finally got :D! Damn it took me a while to get used to it. Especially because you can't always HO/PO when you want to. In GH2 you could HO/PO whenever the notes were close enough to eachother (ánd werent chords or the same fret) and now it has to have a bigger "glow" for it to work. GH3 is very forgiving though, I seem to be a lot better at HO/PO's in GH3. I've beaten easy just to get TTFAF (and horrible get owned by it on expert for fun <3 training mode) and have now started anew on hard mode. My ingame handle is detwisj (my PS3 handle is ShlizarAxis since its my brothers PS3). I'm a bit dissapointed that you can't make private matches, since I have a nephew I wanted to play against but you have to keep making new games till he can actually join. It's kind of funny since I remember someone mentioning they hate that people keep leaving the games when they join, well thats one of the explenations . Also its a shame that the PS3 version doesn't have lou's battle downloadable, i like the sound of that song.

I'm pretty sure (at least on the 360), that you can create "Player Match" instead of "Ranked Match" and invite your friends to join. I'd assume the PS3 is similar, but I could be wrong.

That's cus everything is ranked on the PS3 except for co-op... but the co-ops aren't ranked on the boards so they're "player matches" without the player match option.

Considering it had DLC from the get go, and no game-breaking (imo) bugs like the craptacular Wii version I got, I ain't surprised.


Anyways, my hand is fucking killing, been doing TTFAF on expert (practice mode mind you <.<), can't get above 74% notes hit.....on the upside, almost got the intro nailed, which is the main reason I'm doing the bloody song on practice mode to begin with.

the ps3 wireless guitar has lag issues... apparently they used some ancient wireless technology instead of just bluetoothing the damn thing.

The calibration in GH3 sucks too, so it's really hard to fix it if your HDTV and guitar are having lag issues between them.

Set the delay to 27ms if you have controller lag

Those set numbers don't work with all TVs... some people suggested putting 31-32 and it did fix it for some people, but no so much for others.

I guess you could just put knights of cydonia in practice mode and just pick the part where the notes are all close together and just keep testing it number by number until you got the right ms down.
