Really wish "Welcome Home" would have been on GH3... don't see myself spending the money for Rock Band as much as I'd love to.

Is there a way to speed up the scroll speed of the notes in GH? I used to be an old Bemani fag (IIDX and PnM mainly) who never got into GH. I'm thinking about getting GH3, but I'm so used to notes scrolling at blistering speeds that I don't think I could play it at default speed. I could never get into Frequency/Amplitude for the same reason. If you can speed it up, though, I'm basically sold this time.
Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson LAWL!

Expert is pretty fast, but this is coming from someone who still struggles with Hard.Originally Posted by Viq
Maybe MisterBob's opinion is a bit better, but there are tons of videos on Youtube of people playing at Expert difficulty.
Then again you could be talking about Expert being too slow already and I should probably just quit Guitar Hero.
Yes, there was a hyper mode for GH2. I'm not sure if it's still there in GH3, or if the hyper mode is fast enough for you, but anything more and I think the human mind would have trouble processing all of it at once. =POriginally Posted by Viq
The Through the fire and flames video looked like it was at hyperspeed, so its either the default or there is a hyperspeed mode(fucking hopefullly). I can't play it without hyperspeed now.Originally Posted by Epical
Kind of wish it could be something like Embody the Invisible or Bullet Ride :/ Take this Life is still good thoughOriginally Posted by thestalkmore
GH3 will feature a Hyperspeed mode with multiple settable speeds, instead of the "Normal/Fast" options in GH2. Thus, it's like Hyperspeed, but betterOriginally Posted by Royal
Is it faster than old hyperspeed?
How many of these songs are the real songs by the artists, and not bad covers?
Some of the songs in GH2 I really couldn't stand because of how bad they sounded. And playing GH with the sound off it kind of defeating the purpose.
A lot more than GH2.Originally Posted by Boyiee
Not too bad I guess, Rock Bands list on Wiki is actually pretty appealing too...Originally Posted by Epical
Edit: Now that I think of it, Is anyone getting Rock Band instead of GH, or getting both? It's too much money for me to get both, but it would be nice to hear some first hand reviews from someone that can compare both after they release.
Both... I've always loved drumming to random stuff (disclaimer: I do NOT claim to have ANY remote traces of skill) and doing it to music with as real of a drum set as I'll ever have is pretty win to me. =D
lol - my friend and I used to play GH2 when we were drunk and he would always make fun of me cause I was bad at it even though I played guitar... I would always use the excuse that its like tabs and I play real music but it never worked... He plays drums, so he's always been interested in Rock Band, but he'll probably be way better than me at that too since I'm the worst drummer ever. Hopefully he'll get both games because He'll want to drum, and well, his 16yr old sister is the best guitar hero player I've ever seen.Originally Posted by Epical
Probably getting both, one before xmas and one after most likely.
No Buckethead saddens me. Meh, I'll just get the PC version, hack it and add in custom songs; hopefully that'll be possible.
Hypermode isn't technically faster, the fretboard is just moving faster but the notes are spread out.
