I usually slide and I find that the easiest... but you might want to just try practicing moving your fingers quickly. They're practically the same (you press both with your index + ring fingers, so you just shift that position to the next set of frets.)

thats typically what i try, i can do the green yellow -> yellow orange, then fuck up the red blue right after. I think I overstrum it too.

Hell, a few weeks ago I couldn't even PASS Mosh1, now I flail my fingers and get almost 95% on it every time I try. This & Rock Band is purely practice practice practice. =/

Anyone download the new songs they released? I'm not paying for the Euro stuff, I already had enough of a time justifying to myself to pay $7.75 for 3 songs as it was.

I love playing No More Sorrow on Expert, it's just a super fun song, but my finger tips hurt from all the alt strumming lol. Haven't played Pretty Handsome Awkward more than a couple times, but I 4*'d my only two tries so far. Fuck Sleeping Giant though, never playing that again. My favorite downloadable has to go to We Three Kings, awesome song to play, although I have to play it on Hard or else I do nothing but fail.

I don't know how some people manage to keep a combo in the fast-strum sections (such as the one right after the intro), I seem to be cursed with losing my streak everytime the 50-hit message appears.

On another note, how do you guys deal with the fingering for wave sessions that tend to stop at random sections where they repeat the current and last note, then continue with the rest of the wave to do it again?

Like this for instance. ......G-R-Y-B-Y-B-Y-B-O-B-O-B-Y-R-G-R-Y-R-Y etc...

Probably has something to do with me being too used to using my pinky in these wave sections where I need to deal with the whole thing using my index/middle/ring instead for accuracy?

So i'm playing online for the first time in battle mode. How exactly do you counter the Death Drain thing? Some homo's just play on easy so they can get to the death drain thing and beat me. I dont get it

Fuck playing battle mode online, seriously. Nobody even plays on expert, all on easy so they don't lose -_- stupid shit.

I fucked playing online mode against strangers entirely, too many chickens standing-by with standard face-off or Battle because they know they can choose easy to win with regards to the ranking system.
(where-as I play Expert only, with the exception of the single-player mode as I need cash to buy all the unlockables <.<, and by god, Easy/Medium are such a friggen' bore)

Don't know about the 360/PS3 versions, but the Wii's online really needed a couple extra features to make it worthwhile. First being a number displaying the current amount of players online (no excuse not to have that as it fits within the anonymity thing Nintendo loves so much in their WiFi system), and better filters. Seriously, I can't specify that I'll go for either ranked or unranked with regards for searching for a game. Instead, I have to do two individual searches if one doesn't turn up.
(same goes for game modes and difficulty levels, can't specify that I'll take on difficulties above Medium)

On topic, the intro to before I forget is kicking my ass. My fingers just won't keep doing it, it's like I get one good try at it per day which I fail at 80-90%+ and it just kills my fingers and i never get close again.

So I play a random bonus song (from the ones you buy) in career mode, yet my career score stays the same... is there a reason for that?

I saw a couple of vids on youtube of people getting the achievement on random songs you purchase from the store like Don't Hold Back and Closer... so why does my score remain the same when I play those? >.<

Has anyone bought the Time Warner pack they released a few weeks back? The only song of interest in that pack is the Linkin Park one....but I am pretty sure it's a cover and not the real one...and that makes me not want to buy the pack. If it is a cover, is it any good? What about the Mastadon song and whoever the third band is? I've not got anything since the boss battle pack was released, as Rock Band has had imo the better DC.
