While no songs have been officially announced to be in Guitar Hero IV yet, it is safe to assume that there will be more master tracks than ever. The only confirmed artist for GHIV is Aerosmith, but we will update this as soon as more information becomes available.

Wow, I was so happy to read that list however many times it was quoted then bam, hopes were smashed.

Why does everyone seem to think Stairway is idealfor GH? HAVE YOU FAGGOTS NOT HEARD ACHILLES LAST STAND? Clearly superior in every way possible. Oh, and Pink Floyd shouldn't be in GH. As amazing as they are, they're not for it.

I'd like to see some electric blues personally. Oh, and Ex-creations and anything by Bad Brains would be hot.


Oh,and fuck the 7th tier. I can't 5 star 3/5 songs on that list, only able to do COP/KOC, and I don't know why. It's stupid because I'm close to 5 starring the full setlist (after my 3rd fucking mem card corruption), and I don't see these 3 songs happening anytime soon.

So darkness is driving me nuts in trying to 5 star One on both hard and expert.

It's last thing left on hard, and yeah I still haven't cleared RB on expert but only like 5 things left to 5*



Any tips for figuring out darkness? It's freaking hard to practice for cuz that kind of strumming just gets so painfull after a couple of runs... I've gotten to where I can clear stuff like the way it ends and take this life easily despite only having combos up in the easy parts, but man the constant stopping and starting, I just can't seem to get it. It's really weird especially because I'm pretty good at that kind of stuff on a real guitar, just something about the way you hold the strum bar gets me.


Anyway, any tips? Seems to be the final frontier for me before going into tapping to work on fc's of crazy stuff.

Ehhh from what I could tell and what the salesman said it sounded like you could preorder now (there was a shelf with like 100 of the boxes) and it was coming in april.

People that clear ttfaf, how did you go through the intro when you first learned it?

I have a hard time believing everyone's just tapping the shit out of it and getting to where they can basically fc it before they even get to the rest of the song, but I'm trying everything along the lines of how I clear mosh 1 and fast solo A, and I just can't quite seem to get through it.


Obviously my first though was just "well keep practicing" but I just don't seem to be getting any farther. Basically I'm alt strumming an just flailing, and hitting like 70-75% or a little more but still not getting through.


Anyway just wondering how other people initially approached it.

I can't beat that solo for the life of me, I just gave up. I already was up to the point where I could FC it, but at the time I wasn't good enough to do the actual song till the end. Now that I've gotten a lot better and gold star a lot of harder songs on RB and GH3, I can't beat the intro again. >.<

With shops now discounting the PS2 version + guitar to hell, i'm looking at getting my own copy. Will I regret not spending a little bit more on the xbox version? (for the achievements (lol) and to have the extra download content from Xbox360)

I've completed the game on medium and was getting fairly solid on hard, so there is plenty of stuff to play with on the more challenging levels.

I personally hate the 360 controller as well. I find it a bit lighter, and not as sound as the SG.

Seriously, if you have a system that can get dlc, just don't even think about getting it for one that can't. It would be worth it maybe if it was like a $70 difference, but it gets really frustrating never, ever getting anything new once you open everything in game.
