I know it's not real, I'm just tired of people requesting it. Given that it's the same four power chords, two note verse melody, and solo.

I never said it was real which is why I used "would" when referring to Scar Tissue. Given that it has multiple songs from the same artist, was a huge tip-off even before reading it was fake. On account of no Guitar Hero has never done that pre-downloadable content.

All I'm saying is, Teen Spirit is more suited for a game like Rock Band. It's way too simple and repetitive.

I totally agree with this.

Considering the jump in difficulty (at least at first glance, the hammer on and pulloff system in 3 made it easier than it should've been,) it would be disappointing to see something that simple put in the next game. Hell, I was close to falling asleep sight reading Heart Shaped Box on GHII.

the ho/po system in 3 is stupid, rb is closer to gh2 and the way it should've been.

With that said, I like the GH3 interface a looooot more than GH2, so I don't really mind... 3 has better songs too imo.

But you're right, outside of like... Jordan, Six, Hangar 18, Freebird and a couple of others, the setlist was less than inspiring in 2.

Best song on III is Impulse, no questions asked. Fucking love that song.

Something has to take up the first few spots, Smells Like Teen Spirit is a perfect first tier song and an extremely famous and popular riff.


Also, if you can play it on guitar, if you think about it, that strumming is not going to be near as easy as a lot of stuff in the first tiers of 3. Could easily be 3's & 7's level if they want.

I have some bias because I actually play guitar, so I don't consider the strumming patterns to be anything difficult, so I guess that's my own folly.

Also, I've always hated songs that have a any significant amount of dead time (over a measure) and in that song you're going to have to play the same C-F pattern (hell if I know how they're going to do it in the game, those are just the notes) during the verses and maybe some eighth notes during the prechorus... oh no.

That's my main reason for not wanting it in the game. At least with the other songs, you're playing more than two notes most of the time

Are you sure you actually know Smells Like Teen Spirit on guitar lol...

There's not a C in the riff. And it's a 4 chord riff.

There's also the whole thing where while you only use 2 fingers per chord, they're 3 notes.

Basically, think 3's & 7's where it goes (| = 3 note ^v to signify the shifts)

oooo|| v oo|| ^ || oo|| V | ^|

smells like teen spirit could come with the whole thing being 3 noters and looking like this

| || ||||v|| ^ o v | || v || ^ O | || and those O's can all be set up as either single notes or chords, as they're really muted chords.

Might not make sense to anyone but meh.

Anyway, not arguing about this anymore. You say it'd be cool to have it in the game for reason x and I'm just saying I (me) wouldn't want to waste my time playing it.

I usually entered the no save unlock code anyway, I hate playing the easy songs.
