So my buddy that I have known since college met someone online, from what he tells me they have hit it off really well and basically fallen in love or something to that effect. He's 24 though and she's only 16, he asked me my opinion on it and I told him I had no idea wtf to say. I mean I view it as, 8yrs isnt that large of a gap really when the average couple is 10years difference. Anyone else have an opinion?
16 is young, but some people mature faster than others. If they're really in love, and your friend's girlfriend knows what shes getting into, then there is nothing wrong with the age gap. I'd also tell your friend that if they ever break up it would have a much more profound effect on his girlfriend than him and he should consider her feelings. We all know how it feels to be in love at that age and its usually either the best/worst(or both) thing that'll happen to you. In the end, age doesn't matter and it should be the last thing you worry about in a relationship.
