Hahaha, win
your doing it wrong, if you want to nynja appear wait til its derailed to something about kitties until page 4. When its there nynja will come out of nowhere stating something blanderous and irrelevant about kitties and relate it to how he doesnt use ffapOriginally Posted by Royal
I'm baffled by this one..... Whereas we can invent some semi-plausible theories about the woodlands and mire islands, and the F-9 island via that Halvung thing, there's still nothing that would point us to that one, unless is has something to do with the AS hidden area on the northmost map.Originally Posted by Akucaen
I'd say that maybe the 2nd small island would be accessible via the first, but there's no mysterious extra map to Halvung or AS in the dats that hasn't been figured out already that'd just be a short passage. Or, it'd be accessible via Thickets (north zone), but we still have that problem that you'd need to go underground through halvung or AS, boo. If there was ever an intended use for the I-12 island, there would "probably" be a weird map page for those zones that we wouldn't have been able to figure out yet.
Theory: There was supposed to be a hidden path in thickets to go into halvung like the semi-hidden path into mamook in woodlands, but it was axed early in the design of the zones since there's no part of halvung or AS that would work for it =\
So what we're left with is a gate in Halvung we have no idea how to open that we hope might lead to a tiny island on the mount, and some bonus tiny island we're left completely confused by. Boo! Frustrated!!!
Oh, if anyone uses widescan on the mount are either of those islands in range? (I'm so not a RNG so hell if I know what the range is)
Any other NMs in the dats that we can't seem to find or other drops (like the weird salvage stuff) that has no source yet? I'm going to assume 'no'. If there's nothing on widescan on the islands all that left would be ???s for popping something... oh I love the khoma ore theory/hope though![]()
About 2 patches ago I was at H-8 exping with a rng and during a break I asked him to widescan (which should be in range of a 75rng). Nothing was there. Would need a more recent scan of the area.
I raise you this since I finished it last night:

I-12 is directly opposite the tablet (it's at I-10; I party on top of it alot in the early 60s - it's a nice camp)Originally Posted by Aymee
it's the Island at F-9 that's extra - but! we have a potential (if blocked) route from Halvung to Zhayolm we haven't gotten to try yet; and there definitely appears to be a tunnel on that island.
Oh, duh. I fail, having forgotten that. Right, so after all of this, we have 3 tablets with some kind of island in the direction they face, and a gate in Halvung we can't pass.Originally Posted by Amele
Kinda pathetic idea--Can we drag some kind of mob over to that gate and like... spam head butt on it to see if there's some kind of bug that can get it behind the door? ...Then are there any mobs around that draw in (no?) or have a TP move that can move/knock someone back there? Maybe just hope there's a glitch in it and that a troll Overthrow would squeeze you in! lol... major stretch, but it's odd thinking like this that got people behind some of the doors in Ugg.
I'm pretty sure Limbus wasn't introduced until after CoP was finished, thus the Swirling Vortex in Aleteiu didn't do anything. Also those memory wall things on floor 3 of Promy Holla/Vahzl/Dem what did they do again?
north sea wasn't opened till the limbus patch, so there were no vortexes until limbus was introduced. on the other hand, there was a vast tract of sea that we couldn't access where the portals were placed (or possibly had always been, but been unacessable.)Originally Posted by SeraphusRagnarok
memory flux in the 30 prommies were used to get the shards for AN, while in vazhal they were where you popped NMs. there are still several fluxes in the 30's on the lower floors that remain unused iirc though.
limbus was implemented before the sea nm system I thought? (my memory of that time is a little fuzzy; I wasn't really active ingame at the time sea was being finished up)
the memory walls are related to Apoc Nigh and certain nm's.
Jailers were added before Limbus. Either July or August, and Limbus was either August or October. (2005, of course)Originally Posted by Amele
I might be wrong.
That sounds right. I remember being really confused because it meant the northern 3/5ths of the zone still had no use, and people in my LS of the time were still hoping SE was going to make that all a big, nice, juicy, plump, tasty, massive exp area for 75s so that people could never run out of space again. Oops. Be nice if they added something like that at some point =\Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
AU? arguably 90% of arrapago reef is probably exp'able - although I don't know how much of it is actually campable.Originally Posted by Aymee
not to derail too much. what about the arrapago tidal gates? Do those have a use?
Train of thought. woodlands, mount, mire have 'tablets' areas. reef, halvung, mamook have 'funny door' areas for later hijinks.
Edit:
Doors
Mamook - "Mahagony Door" (E-8) [3rd map]
Reef - "Purple Tidal Gate" (J-5) [1st map]
Reef - "Green Tidal Gate" (I-6) [2nd map]
Halvung - "Door to island?" (D-11) [1st map]
Island/tablets
Woodlands - "Hazklah Islet" (J-13) [H-13 tablet]
Mire - "Sharug Isle" (H-8) [3rd map]
Mount - "strange island" (I-12) [I-10 tablet]
Isn't medusa behind one of them?Originally Posted by Hanyoko

So has anyone tried 6 to be sure or is hitting with 4 always enough?
The one to Gurflurer and beyond takes 6 people while the earlier levers take 4. I'm not sure what all they did, but I've been trying to get 5 others to try using the lever with me. Some people don't want delicious cake as much as you might expect.
I know one of the Tidal Gates is used to access a BC to get the AC back from the beastmen. But there is three Tidal Gates and only one accesses the BC. Not sure what they other 2 are for.Originally Posted by Hanyoko
The Mamook door leads to everyone's favorite two-headed freak[s], I believe. Green Tidal Gate is the first gate entered when retrieving the AC, and, according to otherwiki, the entrance to the AC battle ("Lamia Incursion") is simply called a "Tidal Gate". Perhaps they both lead to the same or similar places, but the Purple Gate requires the Lamia item and the Green gate requires the Merrow item?
I'm not sure if Medusa is behind an Iron Gate or Tidal Gate.
