range accuracy [question to ghost owner only maybe]

anyone know if accuracy bonus increases range accuracy?
I have a ghost that uses ectosmash every 2-3 seconds thus making it lose to anything that run to the side because :
1. its damage reduce from 150 to max of 30 or miss.
2. opponent gets a critical or high damage attack from the side.

Ghost ectosmash has nothing to do with ranged accuracy. It teleports to the side of the enemy at any distance. if they sidestep though, it teleports in front and the damage is reduced greatly....where does ranged accuracy fit into this?

it's ranged in that it hits mobs that are far away. think of it like mistral axe. ranged accuracy wouldn't affect it anyway because to my knowledge it's not even physical damage, it's magical.

so magic accuracy would help it?
i'm currently leveling accuracy, around Lv25 now. against mob that doesn't move around, I have rarely loss to 5 levels higher than me and beaten a 17 levels above me. but against mob running around, I havn't win anything around my level because 90% of its actions are ectosmash and magic.

I guess? Like Asdra said, most of the damage comes from the fact that it ports you to the side. Attacks made from the side (and back) deal way more damage, but when a mob moves around, Ectosmash usually ends up in front, which makes it deal less. It's not a resist or anything.

And getting owned by side-attacking mobs comes with the caster territory, there's nothing you can do to prevent it aside from not casting or WSing.

Yeah, ectosmashs damage comes entirely from the fact that it smacks your side. If the opponent moves to the side at all, they just ruined your ectosmash, and get in a free big hit on you. Magic accuracy or anything else won't help this. Its just the mechanism of the weaponskill.

nvm, I think all single target WS if not all WS are weak when mob run to the side. I just saw a tiger did 3 claw cyclone for 25s and 30+ while his normal attack does 80+. luckily he recovers fast from it.
