Please, continue to talk out of your ass with no real knowledge of the subject. I've been researching \prepping for my 1st cycle for the last 4 years, everything I've posed here is fact.Originally Posted by Tristam
As for milk thistle thing, come on now, silibinin's benefit on the liver is well documented. And as i said all the negative side effects of steroids are easily countered. With a well planned cycle there is no great decrease in mass afterwards, there is no bitch tits, there's no liver\kidney strain, there's nothing but sweet glorious mass.

Ok, sorry. It almost sounded like you were serious for a second there.
I wasn't disputing the fact that clomid and nolvadex (tamoxifen) are used to try and treat anti-feminization and manhood shrinkage. The point is most people abusing these drugs and the steroids they're starting with do so in doses vastly above and beyond anything in any clinical study. Even adverse side effects so prominently talked about in the media (including liver problems) are merely extrapolations from animal models. The reason there haven't been any controlled studies in humans is because they would be highly unethical, so while you may enjoy being a guinea pig, that dosen't change the fact that there's no way at all you can even pretend to be sure that this is a safe way to self-medicate over the long or short term. You're one-to-one ratio of novladex to bitch tits and clomid to shrinkage is silly since they're practically used for the same thing, generic anti-feminization.Originally Posted by residue
And no, the 16 or so controlled studies of silibinin from milk thistle didn't show any real protective effect on the liver, so your liver is still completely exposed to the very real and very large risks associated with pumping your body full of high doses of anything.
taken from a gov't study of the clinical trials (don't believe everything you read on herbal remedy websites):
http://www.ahrq.gov/clinic/epcsums/milktsum.htm
Clinical efficacy of milk thistle is not clearly established. Interpretation of the evidence is hampered by poor study methods and/or poor quality of reporting in publications. Problems in study design include heterogeneity in etiology and extent of liver disease, small sample sizes, and variation in formulation, dosing, and duration of milk thistle therapy.
But with all weightlifters doing this stuff, you don't care about what anyone else has to say, you'll do it anyway and listen to who you want to. So good luck.
And an asterisk on your record-breaking home run ball.Originally Posted by residue
You're in denial if you think you will satisfy your body with a "moderate" dose once it gets used to it... it's just like any other addiction.Originally Posted by residue
If you can take it moderately then good luck.. but I don't think it's worth the risk.
Personally, if I ever found myself considering turning to the juice in order to look better, I'd be more worried about why I was so interested in looking better. I've been a scrawny nerd my whole life, and changing that now is almost certainly more trouble than it's worth. Especially since I could just make a lot of money or die trying instead.
edit: fixed
edit2: Did you know that typing "the juice" into Wikipedia redirects to O.J. Simpson?
This is an oral steroid, which is why it affects the liver, so no syringe.
