THFs and Non-TP Burn Kirin

I didn't feel the need to reiterate maxing out feint when everyone else in the thread did. But using meat on kirin is kind of...well yeah.

From what you typed it didn't look like you were asking what they did for the other 5 minute since time was never mentioned.

And as eaglestrike just posted above me, with kirins defense and thf's small dmg output sushi wouldn't be the best thing to use anyway. Granted my thief was never pimped out or finished to 75, but even at 72 when i stopped leveling it I had a ton of access to acc gear that would making hit kirin not really an issue, especially if i had merited dagger.

As for time...just have a few thiefs to do a feint rotation, i'd think that'd be obvious.

No amount of accuracy gear will make hitting kirin "not an issue" with meat on thf. Why not just use sushi and make the most out of berserk? When berserk is down your damage will still be pathetic even with meat, so it's pretty much a wash.

Back on topic: every thf should have capped feint.

You won't hit 95% accuracy but honestly, it's not that bad to hit him if I switch to full +acc gear and Hedgehog Pie. If you have 2 bards in your party it shouldn't really be an issue since you are getting one madrigal anyway (if not bitch at your bard).

sushi + attk gear, assault jerkin, dusk trousers provided they aren't kiting, tarasque mitts, and /war. go for 3 dagger merits, put your next three points into unlocking feint, then finish off dagger/triple attack

if they're kiting kirin, you can assume that they won't have 2 bards in a party for him. from what it seems like, he doesn't have the gear to make use of a full +acc set, so his best bet is to go with sushi and +attk gear which is easier to obtain

Mandaus as a whole have a pretty horrible history all around, that's one of a slew of just head-shaking events.

My Thief has pretty terrible Gear, never been in an LS that melee burns Kirin, but sub Samurai for meditate, wait for him to cast a spell, then Sneak Attack Shark Bite, chances are you won't have someone in position for Trick Attack anyways. My Shark Bites are usually around 300 with no buffs at 100~TP, gear I have is just terrible, but I come for TH4 and as part of a skillchain. I use sushi, just incase Kirin starts casting a spell while he is running one direction, while the tank kiter is running a different direction, and he changes directions while he is casting (takes awhile for it to load on my screen?), erm... anyways I use sushi so that Shark bite will land regardless and I don't mess up the skillchain, but also because you will end up needing 35~ TP after meditate for Weaponskill. Get Feint.

Relics are expensive.
HQ Amemet is (was?) worth a significant chunk of gil.

I think it's completely reasonable for a player to have to sell all their superfluous white box crap to afford a relic. Leveling your subjobs is simply an issue of investing the time.
