So it's easier to find online with free shipping than get lucky at a toys R us with some in stock at retail?Originally Posted by izembo
I didn't! I wasn't even sure Wii's are available now, it's been a while since I checked. But many online places have free shipping like Amazon or Buy.com for instance.Originally Posted by djriceyes
Most online stores (besides eBay) are either sold out or force a +$500 bundle on you.Originally Posted by Semitry
Oh well, don't really want a Wii until SSBB comes out anyway.
best bet then is to get lucky at a store and pay the ~$15 tax.
Must suck to live in states that have salestax :3Originally Posted by izembo
And Smash Brothers Brawl isn't till February now, so you have some time to wait....![]()
Pretty much all I do on it now is RE4 for Wii, a point and shoot with the remote is tons of fun, and SSBM, gamecube version.

Don't bank on a Wii price drop this x-mas. If anyone on here (that is a reputable poster of course) needs help finding a wii this x-mas let me know. Since I'm assistant manager at game crazy whenever they come in I can buy one for you and ship it to you. Only downside of this is that we only sell it bundled with a 1 year service contract for an extra 25 bucks. But yeah, basically if anyone wants one tell me, I'll gladly help you all outI'm not doing this to make money at all so I won't charge you extra for anything, just cost.
wouldnt advise waiting till february as you'd be hard pressed to find one. people are already starting to buy them for christmas, then after christmas you'll have people buying them with giftcards/cash they got for christmas since they didn't get a wii. the demand wont go down for quite some time.
If you want a Wii for Mario Galaxy/SSBB, get it now. Once the holidays get rolling you won't be able to find a single Wii anywhere, not to mention the months that will follow xmas (nintendo seems to enjoy not shipping anything for like 1-2 months after the holidays...)
Derail: I found $35 in my wallet earlier today. I have no idea how it got there, I never keep money in my wallet. I like surprises such as those.

Yes, rent a game that has infinite replay value, good choice.Originally Posted by Mysterio

It's just another game, and fine for a rental. Your sarcasm fails.
Um.. people are still playing super smash bros melee to this day, I don't consider myself a fighting game fan at all, infact the only fighting game I can stand to play is super smash bros, and I just played melee yesterday.
Wii was the biggest waste of money ever, don't buy it. Well, at least it has been the biggest waste; it should finally get some return once SSBB and Mario come out. But up until this point I've regretted buying a Wii because theres just nothing fun to play on it. Sure I played Wario Ware and Mario Party and whatnot, but none of that is worth buying a Wii.
I kind of agree with this - it's a great "party game" system, but I haven't seen anything really to make me pay attention to it otherwise. I found Zelda to be a huge disappointment, despite my love of the series dating back to the NES.Originally Posted by Keno

Have fun playing Cooking Mama 4 and Wii fit, lol
Unless they pump out 5 mario karts and 3 brawls it's going to be pretty mundane for most.
I said "most" that doesn't include you mario freaks on these boards lol
