You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Voting for Colbert just because would be like voting Hillary in just because she's a woman. Do none of you care how our country is run? Clearly most don't, since they voted Bush in *twice*.

As people have said don't rule out someone for being and actor. TBH those are some of the best people to run. Even people like Clinton (Bill) and JFK were well-love by thousands of people simply because they knew how to talk. Look how much people hate and go against Bush's ideas because he can't speak properly.

You may or may not think that's a big thing, but imo it's probably one of the most important features as a president. You are not just someone who creates ideas (ie laws) but you have to present it to the people in a way people will agree. Actors are very very good at this.

I dunno if I would vote for colbert or not but I definitly wouldn't rule him out just for being an actor.

    Re: Colbert For President

If Colbert runs I would sooo vote for him. I mean Bush made a mockery out of the Presidency long before Colbert was a national figure. The way I figure there is no where to go from here but up.

    -Foreign policy: Epic Fail
-Unilateral War and the search for WMD's that still do this day don't exist: Fail
-Pillaging Iraqi oil to lower my gas and heating/cooling prices: Fail
-Saying that killing Saddam and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi would quell the insurgence in Iraq: Fail

I could literally go on for days. Fact of the matter is we could elect Ernest P. Worrell and have him appoint Vern as our next VP and still get more shit accomplished than this current buffoon. Based on these facts, I don't think Colbert would be such a bad choice if he were actually serious.

As popular as he is, you have to remember that he's mainly popular amongst youth. If he did run (which is unlikely) you'll have a bunch of cenile middle-aged to old people that would deem him unworthy for the presidency. So it probably would never happen.

    Dennis Kucinich
    Score: 43

It cracks me up that Hilary and Obama got the same score, and were with me and against me on the exact same issues (ranked 4 and 5) - they're the same person!

John Edwards was my highest-ranked "real" candidate (#3), which helps me justify my support for him.

I got Hilary and Obama as my highest on that quiz, so I guess I'm going with Hilary.

Anyway, Stephen Colbert isn't funny, and it's pointless to speculate about this anyway.

I got obama and hillary tied.

The rest of the decision is based on Obama being a genuine person and Hillary being a Pandertron 2000.

Apparently my position on energy and immigration are at odds with theirs. Not a big deal for immigration but the energy one pisses me off. Fucking Ethanol needs to die and everyone who supports it is retarded.

We just need some alternative source of energy... using oil at the rate we are isn't good, and I don't think anyone can deny that.

I agree, but the alternatives should be at least more efficient than what's currently in place. Ethanol doesn't even come close, and the only reason it's even on the table is because politicians simply cannot afford to alienate heartland farmers.
