Decided to try out that 7-step Darkness SC I read about here on the forums. I was SAM73/WAR36, used Hasso, Hedgehog Pie, Minuet4, Madrigal2. Completely forgot about Berserk.

A well geared SAM can do 1000 damage pretty regularly on Tiamat and Jorm. I'd say 1500 and over is "pretty god damned impressive"

Correct, if you really wanted to piss him off, get 4 BRDs to sing Minuet, the best attack food you can buy, berserk, hasso and WS him to the face with capped Overwhelm. This will get you your desired damage. Hope you don't miss! :D

Edit: I also think when you are taking Overwhelm into account, you need to be DIRECTLY in his face...Like full breath damage area for it to work. Much like Cover is messed up on Wyrms when you stand on the feet, I think it's the same deal with Overwhelm.

I was taking over in a party for my girlfriend the other night, she had to go downstairs for something so I just did the mindless lvl 27 Mnk thing, engage, boost, ws, engage, focus, etc.

Smithy turns and fires a Goblin Rush at her, I almost fell over when I saw in between the two 0.2 eva skillups, a 0.5 guard up.

(I got Guard to 113 on my lvl 57 Mnk on a lark, pre-/Dnc and 2h buff when I retired it, so seeing a 0.5 was sexy)
