This might be laughable, but has anybody gotten Mandalic Stab to do any kind of good damage? I just recently got it and it seems like trash to me

I've only recently dinged 75, but I personally find it to be a great 1-hit WS. It doesn't put out many omg numbers, but I've found it to give a strong showing where multi-hit WS tend to fluctuate too much. The hidden attack bonus a la YGK is an excellent point as well with HNMs. I don't have much basis for comparison, but this weekend on a few Dark Ixions I was able to get around the 8-900 mark (generic WS setup in FFXIAH link in sig). Meriting at Mamool Ja Staging Point I was able to break 1k a few times on mamools closing Light. It's no Dancing Edge at the merit level, but it's great if you're following Fragmentation.

Mandalic Stab is incredibly consistent due to 1hit and the attack bonus, making it invaluable on harder stuff like Kirin and indeed Odin. Use it exactly like you would Viper Bite; stacked only.

And yeah, Dancing Edge is kind of bad on harder stuff.
