Kinda funny too given I always went /sam to merits yet for some reason my brain went "sei doesn't do anything for your dmg other than counter." Totally ignored what /sam gives you...I IZ A WINNAR!

And on topic! These are from my 2 week old drk a while back. Nothing crazy elite, but for a fresh 75 I thought they were nice.

I join pickups ONLY and I can't stress this enough, ONLY if I have [However many merits I need for an upgrade] minus [less than 1 merit]. I can stomach ~9k EXP with Empress band in a pickup (provided it has a BRD or COR), but as soon as my band wears, I always just want to roll the fuck out because I can't stand Foreign-Server-Transfer-Ebody-Polearm-WARS-That-Can't-Break-1k-Pentas-on-Birds parties.

I'll join pick up parties if I just recently hit 75 and want to merit the job. Can't always get the prefered LS party going so I got no problems sticking my flag up, but I also have no problems using my Warp Scroll should the party end up being full of idiots.

I joined one last night and got just over 6 merits in just under 3 hours. While not the best exp by far, just over 20K an hour isn't bad and put me closer to capping Sentinel, was better then staring at my Moogle spinning in circles for 3 hrs.

Also: Drk + War in merits is jesus good, RR + Guilly and KJ + Insurg is sex because War and Drk naturally TP at the same rate between Abs TP and War DA rate. /Sam that is, I only enjoy meriting with a Drk in the party, or another good War so we can RR > RR spam.

I did go /nin on occasion at the behest of the prty. Some people don't understand /sam vs /nin at all and it's easier to just /nin than trying to explain it. Particularly when I'm just bored as hell and feel like meriting on drk. Not to mention my merits are capped on all jobs and I just like moving merits around to try out different things. As long as the xp/hr is respectable I'm happy.

Oh, I played back then, I remember you telling me about it.

That was around the time you guys helped me beat PM 8-3 (3 Wars doing 2hred steel cyclones and vaporizing the first pot instantly left a hell of an impression on me :D), so it was like 3 years ago now.

Been playing since ps2 launch, and had my taru since 2006.
