Needs more Testaverde
Well, I hate to throw schedules into things.. but the AFC South is a lot tougher than the AFC East. D: The Colts have played all three of their division opponents on the road and such. Anyway, besides all that.. the Pats are god-like. I dunno what to say about when the game finally gets here though. It's gonna be rough for sure.
Steve Young was trying to argue that the Pats vs. Colts game in Week 9 is not an important game (lol @ that douchebag, I've never liked him).
Statistically speaking from last year, the patriots have the second hardest schedule in the league this year, only behind the...lolraiders

Their passing game is so dominant that they can afford to throw the ball twice as much as they run and still be effective. I think a lot people are underestimating how hard that is to do. Not even Peyton Manning could play to the best of his abilities without some type of running game. With Brady's receiving core, he simply doesn't need one. They can put up points just by thinking about it, which is kind of scary.
I have a feeling that their sub-par running game might come back to haunt them sometime this season. You never know if they'll have to face some kind of weather condition that prohibits them from throwing the ball efficiently. After Pittsburgh showed us that the team still has flaws that needs to be fixed, I no longer believe that they are a team that is capable of beating the Patriots. If anyone is going to beat the Patriots, it's going to be the Colts.
The problem here is that they aren't a sub-par run team. They have 3 good backs all capable of 100 yard games, especially with their offensive line. They are 8th in the league in rushing and their starting RB hasnt played in 3-4 games...that should tell you something.Originally Posted by Daahan
The Colts? Wow you're really going out on a limb there Daahan, lol.
But seriously though, that game is going to be all kinds of awesome. Both teams will have no trouble scoring, and its just going to end up being the type of game where whoever has the ball in the final minutes gets the win.
It tells you that the Colts are a lot more physical this year. That also means that if the Pats focus on the pass too much as any normal Defensive mind would against Manning, you miight get gashed up the middle by Addai/Keith. Both teams are incredible at throwing the ball, both teams have really good defenses, but the Colts have the +1 advantage in the run. I'm just saying.. it's gonna be odd to see the Colts as underdogs in their own stadium, but very possible.
Someone on Sportscenter said the Colts were one pick away from drafting Maurice Jones-Drew in the 2nd round a couple years ago. How crazy would that be if the Colts had him >.>
Alternating Addai and MJD would be sick. Addai pounds it down the middle, MJD breaks outside.. Manning to Harrison/Clark/Wayne/Gonzy... christ.
That would indeed be insane.Originally Posted by Akiyama
How am I going out on a limb by saying that Colts have the best chance at beating the Patriots? You honestly think their chances are slim? They are a lot better than people give them credit for (compared to the Patriots). People just get turned on by the flashy numbers that the Patriots put up, but sorry, the NFL isn't all about numbers.Originally Posted by Deejay
The Patriots have not played a team that can match them offensively yet. That's probably the only way you can beat them, seeing that Tom Brady is just too good. The Colts offense is in no way inept or unable; they would easily be able to match the Patriots offense.
I was being sarcastic, lol.Originally Posted by Daahan

I said "Wow lol, that's a stretch"
I agree with what you're saying.
You'd be surprised at the amount of people that think that the Colts don't stand a chance against the Patriots.
If both are undefeated by the game time, I wouldn't be surprised to even see the Colts as underdogs at home.
Do the Colts have a chance? Sure. Is it likely anyone is going to stop the Pats this year? Sure doesn't seem like it. Can't blame people for picking the Pats, they just seem to score at will in every single game. And I hate everything and anything Boston.Originally Posted by Daahan
Regarding ESPN, they're terrible. Their Monday Night Football "comedy acts" are atrocious and not nearly entertaining. I don't trust John Kruk's analysis any further than I can throw him. Anyone who thinks they are just pro-East Coast are partially correct, it's more like they are pro Boston. ESPN is based up there, they honestly don't care about anything outside Boston unless it involves trashing the Yankees. You might say "but look at all the coverage about Joe Torre!" well of course, it's every Red Sox fans dream. Don't even get me started on Steve "I couldn't GM a little league team" Phillips.
Over the past 3 years, ESPN and sports center refused to talk about the patriots... it was alyways about manning. When they mentioned a patriots game, it was almost like they were the evil team of the NFL.Originally Posted by Daahan
Now they have a good team, and even the media like ESPN is riding thier cocks. Pretty stupid, i'm a hardcore patriots fan....but even i'm kinda hearing about it 24/7 on espn.
