Jack Tretton, President of Sony Computer Entertainment has now confirmed that the new 40GB PlayStation 3 will make it's way to the U.S., releasing on Novemeber 2nd, for a retail price of $400.

If that wasn't good enough, Tretton also confirmed that the 80GB version will be getting a hundred price cut, dropping it from $600 to $500.

With the Sonystyle deal may be able to pick up a 40GB PS for $299 + 5 blu ray movies. Count me in if the deal is still around!

Not really, theres plenty of games, or at least I find alot of the current ps3 exclusives very fun (I'm playing Warhawk/folklore atm which is keeping me busy).

I was reading the reviews for DW6, everyone is saying its the best DW so far, you can control each unit as you wish and have them follow you and you give them commands, or have them operate catapults, etc as you charge in or do w/e.

I've stated this before.. only reason I am buying a PS3 is MGS4 and future PS3 titles. I really don't give a flying fuck about backwards compatibility but I guess it's going to be nice to play things upscaled. If that 40GB PS3 is actually that Ceramic White color, I may actually pick it up..

It's not and the white one is JP onry at the moment. Suppose to come out around the same time as dual shock 3 i believe.

I was angry about no backwards compatibility, but then I realized it's not much work to just put the game into my PS2.
